APEC 10" Inline Carbon Filter with 3/8"D Tubing Quick Connect For Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System 5-TCR-3-8 (For Upgraded System)

Initially has issues with unexpected high TDS in the high 30s to low 40s. But after consulting with APEC support, tried several flushes tank so that only a drizzle came out. After 3 times repeating this, tank now yields TDS in range of 20 -25. That's more like it!: Way better ! Phoenix water is nasty at 535 TDS (above FDA recommendations). So after expense & hassle of changing all filter and membrane, finally got good water. Hope it stabilizes at this this low TDS range around 25. Although this works, next time will just purchase new system that uses quick replacement twist install system that APEC now has available.

We have had our ROPH90 for three years and it was time to change. It does make a difference in taste and better water flow. When family come to visit, they enjoy our water and will often say how good it tastes.

30 feet of 1/4" tubing between my reverse osmosis 4 gallon storage tank and the refrigerator dragged down the flow rate at the refrigerator and produced some significant amount of whinging from my family whilst getting their drinks :( By replacing the standard filter with this 3/8" post filter unit, and then replacing the 30 feet of 1/4" tubing with 3/8", I have improved the flow rate by about 20% at the refrigerator. Perhaps an electric pump would have provided more flow, but I didn't want the added complexity. This is keeping my family at bay. For now. Maybe I'll be buying a pump :-/

Besides the taste of the water being fantastic, we feel much safer drinking our filtered water and giving it to our pets!

Be sure you order for the right size tubing you have. There is a free adapter from 3/8 to 1/4”.

This water filter produces great tasting water! It is easy to change, and it fits my connection size.

This filter seem to be working well, and provide good clean tasting water.

Water system is great. For this particular filter though it is a bit confusing because my user manual for RO-HI carbon filter says replace every 3-5 years, but the service life printed directly on the product says 1500 gal or 1 year. So which is it? I am inclined to follow the direction of the manual but the inconsistency is annoying.

I changed all of the filters in my PERM system in December but still have water smelling and tasting of chlorine. Just changed this Post-filter and chlorine still there 50% of time. Very frustated.
