APEC CT-2000 Countertop Drinking Water Filter System

Tastes a bit like water bottle, just a tiny bit. Water testing says that it filters out more stuff than the APEX equivalent filter without adding anything. I wanted a water filter that doesn't provide alkalinity because that causes other problems in the body, and this filter just takes things out, doesn't put things in.

Been using it for a month or so. Water quality is superb. As an experiment I used the Apec water to fill one of my hummingbird feeders, used well water for the rest (boiled both) The birds can tell the difference too as they fed from the Apec water approx. 80% more time than the well water.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and really like it. The water tastes great, it is convenient to just turn on the water vs. using a pitcher, and it was easy to attach to faucet. Happy with purchase.

I purchased this to go in an apartment with limited space. The issues I had with our city tap water were resolved with this filter, including taste and water odor. The water tastes great, and it's convenient to use for coffee and cooking. I had to install a different faucet to use it in my kitchen. The other faucet was not compatible, per the website guidelines. I tried purchasing adapters to make it fit, but even with plumbers tape, the connection at the adapters was never good enough to support the high PSI of the water, and it leaked. This was an easy fix with a new faucet, and I have had no leaks since installation. I have used the RO-45 and RO-90 5-stage under-sink units in the past, and one of the things I like most about this countertop filter is its relative portability for apartment living. I love that I don't have to uninstall the wastewater feed and redo the drain pipes when I move again. This is a great option for renters with limited space, and I'm very pleased with the water quality. I have been using APEC water systems for almost 15 years, and am very happy with the consistent high quality of their products.

It's tall, so be sure to measure the space where it's going. Filters are hard to find, but the manufacturer's website does sell them and they told me I can also look for "oulton Ceramic filter 10"h x 2.5"D as a replacement. The water tastes good. Be aware that the CT-2000 model has to have the filter replaced every 1000 gallons.

We have the CT-2000 and used it since 2021. Very happy with the water quality. Now on the hunt for another filter and struggling. We may have to go elsewhere unfortunately.

This product does not remove hard water. I don't seem to be able to find a filter to purchase for this CT-2000.

After using it for a few days, the water started to slow down.
