We use our RO system to provide drinking water via a faucet AND water to our True Ice Maker. During installation of this CaCO3 re-mineralizing filter, I connected it to the faucet but NOT the ice maker. The ice maker would remove the minerals due to the process by which it produces ice. I then did a double-blind taste test (yep, I'm a pharmacist/chemist) using this new filter vs our reverse osmosis water. The RO water tested at 0ppm and the CaCO3 water tested 20ppm. All family taste testers picked the CaCO3 water over the RO water. Now when we add ice to the glass of water, the ppm drops but everyone to date, prefers the CaCO3 re-mineralized water over plain RO water.
It does what it says. Brings back some of the minerals after it's all cleaned up from the main filters. We've been using this remineralizer for 3 years now. We change it out every year.

from my reverse osmosis my PH was 5.9, added filter and it is 6.6 , a little better would have like to see 7.0 , my PH meter which i purchased in feb , which comes with a calbration kit was used to get numbers.
I bought my system in 03/2023 and it was great. I recomended the APEC 90 gpd to all my family members and friends. After i installed like 8 more machines in my family and friends house, i recived a call last week from my brother who i installed his machine back in Nov 23. He told me he tested his PH level and it read under 6. 0. I was shocked and I tested mines and i went out to the other homes that i installed these machines and they all tested under 6. 0. I also want to mention that we all have the 6 stage 90 gpd machine that adds all minerals back in and all macines other than mines I installed in the past three to four months. I changed stage 1-2,3 and 6 5 months ago on mines and it still read under 6. 0 ph. I added a pic of tap water compared to my filtered water.
Had to take it out made the water taste like batteries if you know what I mean.
