I don't normally write reviews unless something is really, really good or really, really bad. You can see by the stars which one this is. I've used quite a few water purifiers over the years and I wish I would have started with this one! The system I was using before this one was supposed to be one of the best filters available and cost close to $200. The TDS of my water was almost 450 before and after filtration. TDS with the APEC dropped to 25!!! The flow rate seems a little slow but if I did a side by side comparison with my previous system they would probably be close to the same. Highly recommended if you can't put in a more expensive whole house system.
Easy to set up and start. I had a Best Water Countertop RO. I removed the the old manifold. I hooked up the pure water output tubing to the back of the BWC holding tank. Now I collect the water and dispense the water from the old BWC unit. I recommend ordering the model with a cover.
I bought this system mainly for my fish aquariums because as I moved to this place, I was have trouble with dying shrimp and algae growth. Plus, the water was not tasting good through britta pitcher either. My drinking water now has a great taste, and my aquariums have been improving. What a fantastic system!
I had for many years the Omnipure RO-CTOP reverse osmosis for many years, I did have about 3 spares RO Membranes. I did look for a new Membrane at Omnipure maker few times but never answered my emails. So, I started looking for one alike, or a better one. I believe in good luck! I got you. Reverse Osmosis is the most effective remover of hard parts in drinking water, or the TDS. More safety to absorb the water, just water, no dangerous or unknown slow affective counter good health invaders, over increased PPM's. Maybe I will oder extras CT-1 SED and CT-24CAB, I let you know. this is my second one...the first one last over 5 years but i just wanted a new unit...this filters out fluoride (research the effects of fluoride), radium (radioactive particles) and barium (chemtrail particles) to name a few...it is an excellent filter...the taste is clean...the britta filter is good but this is way better...i have already recommended to friends and family and highly recommend to others...the initial funds to buy is costly but in the long run, well worth it...buy it...
We are full time RVers and we never know the quality of water we'll have when on the road. We have pre-filters on the water system and the countertop RO gives us out drinking water. Our current incoming water is 394 ppm and by the time it goes through the RO system it's 6 ppm and tastes wonderful. Couldn't ask for more.
This is my third RO-CTOP. I replace the filters on schedule, but sometimes I like a fresh start with a new set. We use the water for coffee, ice, and drinking water. Our well water is potable, but it's better tasting after using your product. We make about two to three gallons a day. It's part of my morning coffee ritual.
Easy to install and I liked the stand which has all the filters nicely placed. I wish there could be an indicator for changing the filter but it recommends every 6 months so will be using a tds meter to check and change. Overall I am happy with the product and lover that the tds of filtered water is in good range.
I am very thankful to own this filter. From my research, RO is the only way to remove micro plastics. So, I've quit bottled water for the first time in my life 3 wks ago... Pristine flavor. 5 stars.
It arrived with hoses improperly installed. The brine drain was connected to the water intake and intake hose hooked connected to the brine drain. I initially assumed that everything was correct and tried using it. I knew something was wrong because it began leaking at the brine hose elbow. I looked at the set up diagram and discovered that the two hoses were improperly connected. I had to disconnect the two hoses and switch them to their proper place. Someone screwed up.
