APEC Top Tier Supreme High Efficiency Permeate Pumped Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System For Low Pressure Homes (ULTIMATE RO-PERM)

I installed this RO system about a month ago and glad I did. It replaced a 15 year old system without a permeate pump. I installed the system in the basement directly below the kitchen. This system with 3/8“ tubing and permeate pump works much better with the ice maker in the refrigerator. The quality of all components is excellent. Installation instructions were clear and helpful.

I've had this for a couple months or more. Long enough that I don't remember the delivery date. It takes up a fair amount of room under the sink which is expected. Installation was straightforward. The pump: some people complain about the pump running but I find it very easy to get used to. A lot of noise was addressed by securing all the hose lines - they jump and bump into things. Very happy I got the higher output option. Glad I bought it when I moved in.

This unit was easy to install in my basement and I ran about 25 feet of tubing to my kitchen sink where the faucet is installed. I like knowing that I have safe water for my family to drink. I also like the convenience of having the water available without the need to go and buy it at the store.

Decided on this unit as we are on well water and not great pressure. A huge improvement over our old "box store" RO system. Water tastes great and we finally have pressure and volume. Installation directions are very clear. It took me a while to install but plumbing and I always seem to disagree. All in all, I am very happy with this RO system.

I bought this RO-PERM system a month ago and it has performed excellent! Since we are on well water I ordered the system with the permeate pump since my well water pressure is 30-50 psi. The pump is hydraulic and no electrical power is needed. It makes a somewhat slow soft sounding click every couple of seconds until the tank has reached its fill point for the system pressure. A gentle reminder that the system is diligently replenishing the reserve RO water to the tank. I love these push on tubing fittings! They are so quick and easy to use. Just be sure you push the tubing all the way in past the ”O” ring and pull back to lock the connection. I also found that if you keep the black drain line away from other lines or objects in the area it will run quieter since the line twitches from the surge of drain water when the pump pulses. Added the 14 gallon tank and 3/8” outflow tubing for better volume flow, which I highly recommend.

We have been using our RO-PERM system for about two weeks now. I purchased this one because we have well water and the pressure runs between 30-50 psi. We also use a water softener which leaves some saly=t in the water. TRO-PERM system generates water quickly and the water tastes better than any water I have ever tasted. Besides drinking, we use the water in our humidifier and for watering our indoor plants.

Installation was straight forward and instructions were fairly clear. I purchased a couple add-on kits which made diagrams and instructions a little different. Purchased the permeate pump option as we live on well water with 30-50psi pressure. The pump does well to improve efficiency and provide good pressure to the tank and good flow out of the tank. The downside is that the pump makes an annoying clicking sound every few seconds when it's working to fill the tank. I installed in our mechanical room in the basement so the clicking is manageable but wouldn't want it under the sink in the kitchen. It seems the ERP-1000 pump is noisy and that the ERP-500 is much quieter. I may consider swapping to the ERP-500. The system provides water with TDS around 30. Happy with the results.

Installed 3 weeks ago and the water tastes good. I don’t notice noise from the permeate pump like other reviews complain of. Glad I upgraded to the 14gal tank and 3/8” lines. However, I was disappointed that the feed line to the RO system wasn’t also 3/8”. The water from my water softener to the RO system has a consistent TDS of 72. The water coming out of my RO perm system jumps around between 32 and 46 TDS. I expected a lower TDS or at least a consistent low 30 TDS test result.

Wish I would have changed my RO system to this one a long time ago. The APEC RO-PERM way outperforms my previous WHER25 system from Whirlpool. However, the permeate pump is a little loud with its clicking noise. That is my only criticism. Works well with my 45-50 PSI cold water supply pressure.

I've had an APEC R. O system for ever, I'm also a contractor and have recommended them and installed them for many of my customers throughout the years . I replaced my aging system with this new identical system. ( probably didn't need to but I think it was more cost effective than replacing parts in the future) I was disappointed with the assembly of the new system , push to connect fittings vs the older compression ones that I have had zero problems with . Several fittings leaked after I turned it on after install, loose fittings or not enough tape on them to make them water tight. So pretty much had to go through the whole thing and re install afterwards . That's the second time now , I had leaking fitting issues with a system I installed for one of my customers end of last year also . Definitely not what I'm used to from this company .
