These are very nice, heavy duty, food grade, 5 gallon buckets with lids that have a silicone or rubber gasket on the lid. Perfect for what I needed them for.
Very handy to store food. The hardest part was removing the strip of plastic that was around the lids. Used needle nose pliers and wound it around. Lids easy to put on and take off which surprised me. A little spendy but will be buying more.
Very pleased with quality of buckets for food storage. Great price for three buckets.
good size and perfect for storage
Excellent quality and the price beat Amazon's.
These are wonderful food storage buckets! I really love mine. They stack together nicely. I saw some reviews that said the lids do not fit, so I want to share how to make them fit. The lids need to be put on with a rubber mallet. These lids are made specifically to seal. Once the lid is on then you can peel the side plastic strip off the lid (like one would for an over the counter medication) and use and reuse the lid. The benefit of this type of lid is for food to be stored for a long time. I hope this helps!
These storage buckets are a must for keeping dry food fresh. I bake a lot of bread and store a 25 LB bag of flour in one of these buckets. In another one I store a large bag of rice. The lids lock down to keep the food fresh. Certain areas around the top edge of the bucket match with the lid. Press down on these to connect. A special tool needs to be bought to open them from the same store OTVIA lid opener. They are essential for me to keep in stock food items. They are food grade and slot neatly under the back shelf of my pantry. I would not be without them.
THE LIDS ARE A NIGHTMARE. You can pound them with a rubber mallet. You can jump on them like a kangaroo. You can carefully line up the lips on the inside of the lids with the lips on the buckets, you can carefully put the lid lips opposite the bucket lips. YOU CAN GO INSANE TRYING TO MAKE THESE LIDS FIT THESE BUCKETS. N -E _ V - E - R again will we buy these idiotic buckets. After this experience I need some quiet time. Thank for listening.
I like the bucket because they are food grade and no BPA. How every I do not like the lids. I do not know how to get the lids on the bucket and make them SEAL. I have used a hammer, set down on it and still could not get the lid to SEAL. I like the buckets not the LIDS.
Cant seal the lids! Practically useless for what I bought it for.
