Good for the tank
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to use this for a large water dish for the farm cats, but it was too big for the bowl. It does work in the water tank for the cattle and thaws about 3/4 of the tank.

Failed in the middle of a very cold spell. The coil open up and the heater wire came apart. I had another unit that lasted 3 winters, this lasted only 6 weeks
