I kept trying different offbrand cords in my van and they kept disconnecting my phone from Apple CarPlay. I finally bought this Apple brand cord and it has not disconnected it at all in the month I have had it. I should have bought this in the first place!
Apple products always seem to work better and last longer than the knock-offs. They’re also not that different in pricing anymore so definitely go for the name brand one.
It's an apple cord. If you have a device where you HAVE to use an apple cord… it's an apple cord. I wish the ends wouldn't break like cheap crap, but that's not new news. They last longer than the off brand, all the same, so - it's worth the little bit more to buy Apple.
Worth spending the $20 on a official Apple cord. It last longer and charges fast. The cheaper cords break way to fast and cost about the same if not more with the amount of times they need to be replaced.
This product did not come with any packaging. So it is impossible to tell if it's actually an APPLE product as I assumed it was . There are no markings on the cord . Not how I expected to receive it. It says Apple Lightning to USB ‘compatible with' …. I guess I should have read the reviews.
I am very careful with my phone and the cord. I've had it for three years. I've had the insurance the whole time and I've never filed a claim. This cord charged my phone a total month before it quit. Buy the apple products for your phone they say. They're more expensive but worth…my fanny. I'm buying the cheapest one I can find here forward.
It'll charge…just not very fast. And AppleCarPlay sometimes works with it, sometimes it doesn't. It is NOT a legit APPLE product, as is evident in the price. Basically, u get what u pay for, unless u thought it was lightning fast lol. Bcuz it definitely isn't.
The lightning plug part doesn't work. It fits in the iphone but too loosely therefore it won't charge. I have a feeling it's a fake Apple product because Apple would not do this. Apple makes good quality products. This one fits wrong. Luckily it was cheap so it wasn't a big loss but a waste of my time having to return it and get another.
I don't think this is genuine Apple poorly made and did not come in the genuine apple box. It was listed as a general, Apple charger cable rubber, feel brittle. I do not recognize this product. I wish I didn't buy so many it broke at the connection point I only have for a few days.
This charger only lasted for 6 months. The quality is obviously poor and the cord is inconveniently short. This is supposed to be a genuine Apple product. I am disappointed.
