Apple TV 32GB (4th Generation) - Black

We recently discontinued our cable/satalite service and are not using over the air digital for local stations. We still love netflix and recently discovered Slingtv that has all my favorite channels....hgtv, espn, history channel. We love it and have cut our costs by 65%. So worth it.

Item was originally purchased to go under the tree for Christmas. My husband and I were so excited that we opened and started using it promptly. Love the changes to the remote... system seems to load more quickly than the original. Would definitely recommend upgrading to the newer model if you haven't done so already.

I've had Apple Tv for the last 3 years and I own a Fire Stick and a Roku and several 'smart' Tv's and DVD players. The Apple TV has ALWAYS been better than all the rest of those devices. And the new 4th generation AppleTV is amazing. Speedy and I love the unified search. I wish I could afford to replace my other AppleTV, Firestick, and Roku with this device. I do wish I could get my Amazon Prime Video on my Apple TV easily. But I understand Apple and Amazon are in the same content provider business so that won't happen soon. Siri Search, Apps, and games make this a definite recommendation for anyone.

I'm a college student who decided to get rid of cable. I love apple products so I thought to give Apple TV a try. There are so many great apps available and the quality of the shows on Apple TV is phenomenal. I would definitely recommended, it is worth the money!

I love Apple TV but this new generation has one thing I actually have issues with and that's the new controller. It feel less substantial than the original. Don't get me wrong it does exactly what it is supposed to do but it just feels weird. The clicking action feel like it is barely connected, like you can pull it apart by accident. Now for the good. The games integration and Siri make an already good Apple TV a better Apple TV. Music, tv, movies all run smooth, 1080p is perfect. 4K is not necessary at this time so it's a good deal. Most movies come with digital copies that are iTunes compatible. I think the next generation will copy the Amazon echo and have Siri always on and it will really be the beginning of home integration.

Upgraded from third generation to fourth. I like the sleekness of the fourth generation and the fact that you can delegate which apps you would like on there vs a standard template. I am hoping that there will be many more updated/compatible apps coming out in the future. The touch remote takes a little getting used to as it is very sensitive to touch, and be advised as always these devices do no come with HDMI cable. Seamless compatibility and set up with your iPad and/or iPhone.

this is an Apple product, so you know it's good. just a couple of cons: (1) the remote has a couple issues. the touchpad is too sensitive and takes you places you didn't intend to go. I prefer buttons to the touchpad. BUT the voice activated rewind and fast forward is da bomb! greatest thing ever on a remote. want to rewind 13 seconds? just ask. want to FF 14 minutes and 2 seconds? just ask. most remotes get you close, this function is exact. (2) you cannot get the AMAZON app on Apple TV, they consider it a competitor to iTunes (!). so if you have cut the cable and want one device to stream ALL services, Apple TV will not do that. sad. I have to use my Blu-ray player to access the Amazon app, and that is much slower than the Apple device. I also have a Roku 3 on another tv and you can get ALL the apps on that. it also has a voice search function, but not enabled for rewind and FF. too bad, get with it Roku :o) I use the Amazon, Netflix and Hulu apps every day (but never iTunes), so I use the Roku as my #1 device. but the Apple TV device is still awesome, and I'm glad I have it.

This is fantastic, it has great Apps that are ready to download and use. I also like that it can control my tv. My tv powers on and off with my apple tv. I am also able to adjust the volume of my tv from the apple tv remote. It is one less remote to use. I also like the air play ability and the fact that it can send the audio to any bluetooth speakers. Finally I really enjoy using siri, she understands me about 85% of the time. She saves enough time to make it worth using first and if it fails to just do it yourself. Overall an excellent improvement from my Apple TV 3. The price is still a little high for the features, but if you are already immersed in the apple ecosystem, its worth a buy.

I purchased the 4th Gen Apple TV as a Christmas gift for my wife as a replacement for the previous 3rd Gen. I was pleasantly surprised to have the set up for the Apple TV be so easy via your iPhone by Bluetooth connectivity. There was also a manual set up option for non iPhone users. The main reason we made the purchase was the Siri remote and the ability to have Siri locate movies or shows via voice recognition.the Siri remote is no gimmick it works really well. There was one additional feature I was impressed with and find extremely useful, you can connect a set of Bluetooth Headphones and listen to a movie/show late at night without disturbing anyone else in the house. All in all this was an excellent purchase as we caught it on sale for $98.00 and the regular price at Apple is currently $149.00. I would have gladly spent the $149.00. I would highly recommend this product.

I needed to upgrade to the 4th generation of Apple TV because for some unknown reason (but widely speculated about online), my 3rd generation Apple TV device would not longer play HBO Now. I was looking forward to the upgrade though; the SIRI capability seemed worthwhile. But when installing the unit, I got an unhappy surprise--Apple eliminated the optical audio jack from the unit. Thus, I no longer had a direct connection to my sound system. I looked online and found workarounds (e.g., use two apple tv devices) but none worked for my equipment configuration. So, I had to return the unit. BTW, Walmart was great with the return.
