Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

Although modern iPads have built-in DP (digital port) drivers that can do this exact task with a simple USB C to DP adapter cord, this doesn't help with HDMI ports such as found on televisions, projectors, and older computer monitors. That's where this adapter comes in. It did not work the first time I tried it. I was using it with my iPad Pro's power supply, which was just not enough juice. I ordered a 118 watt USB C power supply and that fixed it. Now it connects quickly and the image is very clear (in mirroring mode) both on my 4K projector and 50 inch Hisense TV. Although it's not needed for computer monitors that have DP ports and can use the cheaper USB C to DP adapters, I see this as a useful tool in the arsenal of anyone who needs to share the contents of their iPad to a bigger screen. It's that handy.

It's much more expensive than it's cheaper third party equivalents. however it does not have audio loss through HDMI like the majority of its cheaper counterparts.

The price was nothing special, just the typical MSRP price for this Apple product: in other words, on the expensive side for what it is. But I can't complain about the quality/functionality, always as expected.

The adapter is easy to use and you have the ability to charge your device while you are using the adapter. As with all Apple products it is a little expensive for what it is, but it works well.

This adapter works great. It permits my family to connect to my other family Members over a 150 miles away. We can see and talk to each other on our large screen TVs

It doesn't work well with the Egato card. My Egato stream was reconnecting all of time. It even stopped working and deactivating and reactivating would not bring it back. I purchased a $14 multiport adaptor off of Amazon that works with no drops or failures. For such an expensive adaptor it is nothing but junk.

Does not work with iPhone 16.
