Aqua Star Reserve Squid Rings And Tentacles

I thawed the rings and tentacles. Added olive oil and salt...grilled for 2 minutes...absolutely fabulous. I have tried other frozen products for years...only to be disappointed...usually tough. I'm a fan. I made a cioppino tonight and added the squid for the last 2 minutes...creamy and wonderful. This is a great product!! My hat is off to Walmart for carrying this item...obviously, their buyers are to be congratulated. You also have a wonderful selection of olive oil. Any chance you will carry walnut oil?

I was making a served-cold Japanese squid salad. I went to several stores and no one had squid! I couldn't believe it - even high end organic places with awesome seafood - no squid whatsoever! I asked one guy about it and he said "WALMART has these consistently..." I couldn't believe it but this guy swore that's where to go. I did and, to my surprise, they were there! And the price was awesome! These cooked up beautifully, are very high quality and were great in my squid salad. I guess I'm the only reviewer who didn't batter and fry them! I just blanched them briefly as they cool up quickly, then chilled and tossed in my salad an hour later. Divine! These are the same style of squid used in sushi bars. They're all trimmed and ready to cook with no fuss!

This are so so DELICIOUS. I just seasoned them lightly with a little fine sea salt and black pepper, dredged them in flour, and pan fried in light oil until light golden brown!! So so good. I highly recommend!!

These were very high quality. Floured and quick fried they were delicious.
