I really like my filtered water system. Before I would have to go get spring water which meant alot of work for me. I would have to wash the bottles which were very heavy and cumbersome. Then haul them around , to and from my home and that was exhausting. Now I just go to my faucet and turn on. The water taste great and so far it has been wonderful. The only question I have is how does it know when the filter is spent. Otherwise it was a good choice for me and my family.
The new filter works great! The water taste great! I am a Plumber with 42 years experience and this filter is the only known NSF filter that I have seen to filter out PFAS and PFOS. I converted the unit to sit under the sink and fed a single use faucet.
After 10 + years of use and abuse from my 4 daughters and I, the old unit was in need of some repairs, I was able to get it into working condition and it lasted another year. I finally made the decision to retire. the old guy and replace him with a rookie. The rookie works fine as expected. Thanks
Have had the counter top filter for a bit over a month and no complaints. It took less than a minute to install. There is definitely a difference in the taste and clarity, the slow pour is really not an issue for me. This is perfect for apartment dwelling. Considering the cost, waste and time of purchasing bottles or pitcher filters this is the best value.
Installation was super easy. The tubing is now clear instead of white, which I think looks nicer. While I haven't had the water tested, the dog would rather drink this water than the water from the tap, so that says something. A suggestion when running the water initially: Run the water for 10 minutes as instructed, and then check for small rising bubbles in the water. If there are small rising bubbles, continue to run the water until you no longer see any. (You have to put the water in a clear container to observe the bubbles.) Alternatively, if you have a pet, you can see if they will drink it. Unless your pet eats/drinks anything, in which case, use the bubbles method. lol
I have been using this particular unit for years. It makes great fresh tasting water. Only complaint is that changing the filters is difficult. Also, I wish I would automatically receive new O rings with replacement filters. That's why I give it 4 stars.
After connecting the hoses to the bottom of the unit I screwed and tightened the hoses end to the faucet. When I turned the water on there was a serious leak; after retightening it still leaked. I took the filters out of the new unit and installed them in the old one I still had, it works OK eith a small drip from the bottom of the filter housing unit. What do I do now?
I'm not happy with it. My fault for not checking if it filters out fluoride. But I figured I'd double filter it through my Berkey for that. We hooked it up to the kitchen faucet and it trickles out! No pressure at all. It takes me for ever to fill up anything.
In my opinion this filter doesn't work. It's very slow output 3.5 minutes per gallon. The taste of the water isn't good and it's not removing the chloramines from the water that makes me itch. That was the reason I got it, but it doesn't do very well. Back to bottled water....
It took over 3 weeks for the unit to arrive- it's been installed for less than a week. My water has about 260 ppm unfiltered- my zerowater could take it down to 0ppm- Clarium is running at 215 and now there's sediment in my tea kettle. Unit is correctly installed.
