Great price. The bucket is not so user friendly. Keep your old one if it has a nice lid. It took a while to be delivered.

The shock seems to work, alge floated to the top, good sign. Getting the container open, what a pain. Required tin snips, 18 inch screw driver, a trim tool, lineman's pliers and patience. Removed the safety ring with the lineman's pliers. The ring is molded in with a 1/2 inch pull tab, no way to grab it or pull without pliers, not that removing the ring made any difference. Cut the lid from the bottom to the top with tin snips in six placed, pried and pried until the lid released. Good thing the price was good and product seems to work, if you can get the 25 pound pail open. If you know how to open the lid, please post it to YouTube.

The container needs a jackhammer to open, and the top does not fit back on securely to the container. Overall, this product is on the high end for price per pound of available chlorine. Product does stay granulated well, and was very dry when opened. Solubility is fine for a solid product.

I do not recommend products that come in containers that I cannot open. I had to use a sledge hammer and long screw driver to basically cut a hole around the inner top of this hard plastic cover that would not open using the tool provided no matter what I did. Lucky for me I keep old plastic containers similar to this with tops that are easy to open and close because I have run into this before, shopping around. And so I poured the contents in another container and will not be buying this again no matter what the price. Businesses should not make containers that customers cannot open.
