I don't know why some reviewers said that this product was difficult to assemble and that there were no instructions…both are absolutely wrong. The instructions were very clear and I had it assembled in minutes. The suction was better than I had hoped for and to say that it was simple and effective to use is an understatement. This was by far the best thing that I have bought for my aquariums. To make things even easier for me, I hung the hose from my overhead floor joists in the basement and ran it down to my utility sink. The other half of the hose, I just coiled up and hung it in a convenient spot on my basement wall. Now I just uncoil the part that hangs on the wall and bring upstairs to the aquariums. I can change out the water in minutes now without any hassle. Thanks so much for making such a superb product!
I had one of these many many years ago but it was manual and even that one was cool! This one has a super long hose and you literally just plug it onto your faucet and it automatically starts pumping water out. No buckets needed. It does fit on most sinks right out of the packaging but it did not fit on mine. If that is the case with you, you don't need to return it. You can get adapters online or probably from a hardware store for just a few dollars! Trust me, it will be worth it. Cleaning aquariums is a messy, tedious job that nobody likes doing but this makes it so much easier! I did receive this as part of a CashBack campaign but all opinions are still honest and my own!
Makes water changes effortless.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just a small 10 gallon tank but it's off in my living room a distance from my kitchen or bathroom sink. Previously I was taking ice cream buckets to change water and it's just time consuming and messy! Yes, this take a few minutes to set up the first time but after that...it's just a matter of attaching it to your faucet. If this doesn't originally fit on your faucet, don't return it...you can simply buy an adapter fir a few bucks. Trust me, it's worth it! Once you have that done, you literally turn on your faucet and it gets suction. If you want to refill your aquarium, you just turn the nozel 'off' and the water reverses. It sounds complicated but do it once and you'll be a pro!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband has a 46 gallon salt water tank and this was more than enough to get the job done! Our dog decided to chew thru our last one so this was a much needed replacement. Hopefully we don't have to buy one again, but if we do, this is the one we will get!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product did wonders for our water changing! It sure beats doing it all manually with water jugs. The price was right, and it made aquarium water change quick and easy. The more painless with this the better. I would highly recommend this.
It's OK. I hate that it doesn't come with instructions, it's too difficult and it shouldn't be. It does get the job done as far as filling. I haven't used it for cleaning yet.
I did not like the fact that the hose that came with it was to small for the product and was a complete waste of my money (Ease of use)
This product DO NOT WORK, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
i thought this would work great i got a bad back and have a 55 gallon tank well i ordered it and got it i was happy i go to set it up and gashed my finger because you have to firmly put hose on then after 2 hours of trying to figure it out since it came with no instructions i had to you tube it and it still did not suck out bad water so i cut the tube to a 25 foot thinking that maybe hose was too long to pump and still nothing i am very upset and wish i could get money back
