Really excellent. Really it is Stargate (Defebder II) minus hyperspace rather than defender (which is much better in my opinion.). Nice bonus ships and smartbombs when you hit 20,000 points... not sure when the next bonuses happen (or if they ever do). Defender, Joust, Dig Dug and Galaga are the best of the BasicFun/BridgeDirect minis. Newer 2nd gen Dreamgear Galaga is bit better Galaga, but basicfun Galaga beats the first gen dreamgear one (that had the shooting sound bug)
I bought Pac-Man for me . Defender is a gift. Love mine and I'm having a vintage Christmas. So perfect to remember the teen years and have fun playing .
the best game ever, Stargate! on sale too!
This Defender Mini Arcade is the NES Defender II game which means its actually Stargate. Search Y0utube for NES Stargate Gameplay to see what it looks like. Overall, it plays well - the sound is good and gameplay is fast. Definitely worth it
I'm glad they finally made Defender as a unit all of its own. I had hacked my jousr unit to play either Joust or Defender on a switch (Joust unit secretly actually has both games on it). Now I dont have to use my joust mini arcade as both Joust and Defender. Cant wait for more of these games to keep coming out.
the start up music is the wrong music when fire the shot its not the same either but it's still fun but wish it was the right defended its ok but I would wait until its discounted or they come out with a better version the game play is the same just wrong sounds and music and when u shoot its not the same kind of shot its just a short line in the arcade version was longer but I still like playing it. Also wish it would save the high scores it does not
