At first I was nervous using it. I had an old helmet from the late 1900's, with no electronics. So I read the directions 2-3 times, and turned it to max. Started arc weld and it was almost too dark to my weld in action. Lots of adjustments for different melons,light weight (no neck strain) after hours of welding, and it looks cool.

Good value for the money. I like the larger area for viewing. It also has a slot where you can slide in a cheater lens, which is super helpful if you're older and your eyesight isn't what it used to be. If you are doing casual or hobby welding, it's definitely worth the money.

I used my ARCCAPTAIN HELMET for the first time today. I welded some casters on my shop stool . It worked GREAT, Quick Response and a SUPER BIG IMPROVEMENT over my conventional helmets. EXCELLENT VALUE.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this welding helmet works. Compared to my $300 miller Welding Helmet, I can't tell much of a difference in performance. For a fraction of the price you receive the same quality and performance as you would from an expensive name brand welders helmet. Save your hard earned money and do yourself a favor and purchase a Arccaptain.

i have the best ($149.) harbor freight vulcan helmet to compare to. i was going to return if it was not better but decided to keep. i like the headset and helmet better. the auto darken lens is about the same, i like the outside controller better so overall a bag win at 1/3 the price. .

The fit is a bit large I adjusted it as small as it would go and it is loose for me. Also, I thought it was supposed to come with an LED light.

Very good welding helmet. Quick to dim and is adjustable in how fast and darkness. Headband is multi adjustable.

Actually a pretty cool helmet for the price. Good for hobby welding, not for commercial as it's kinda flimsy and probably wouldn't stand up to full day, day after day welding. With the Chinese translated owners manual you are on your own as it is mostly worthless. The instructions directed you to force the head straps around to make it so you can put the helmet on. I was concerned that the thin plastic would brake if forced to I completely disassembled it to keep that from happening. The view screen is much better than other helmets at this price point. The darkening process is excellent and very adjustable. The ability to replace the battery is great and they include an extra battery in the box.

I weld as a Hobby, This helmet is comfortable i. like that it comes with a storage bag " no more spiders living in ur helmet." Wish i would've paid for something like this when i started welding. My first helmet cost $15 %26 didnt have any features i cant belive i use it for so long. only down fall is i had trouble with the battery.

Ordered this over two weeks ago and it still hasn't came in. And I haven't heard anything about an actual date it will arrive.
