Have not had a chance to use the rods just yet, but have no doubt they will work.
I primarily use 3/32" lanthanide TIG electrodes for my welding work nowadays. They are suitable for a wide range of applications and pose fewer health risks compared to thoriated electrodes. These electrodes appear to be well-crafted, uniform in size, grind effectively and behave comparably to other brands I've used. TIG welding is a blend of art and science, and although I'm not a professional,
I experimented with this version as well as another red variant. As a newcomer to welding, I'm hopeful that this hobby will blossom into a full-fledged pursuit. I achieved satisfactory results when practicing on scrap pieces. I aspire to attain proficiency to repair items and perhaps even create artistic works using my welding equipment.
An often overlooked aspect, I found the packaging of these electrodes to be user-friendly, opening and closing smoothly. It's a mystery why these don't come pre-sharpened, a simple addition. I award 5 stars for a reliable product that adds to the enjoyment of my hobby.
I'm a welding beginner, so I can't provide extensive commentary on these electrodes. However, they appeared to work perfectly fine for my practice pieces, so I won't voice any complaints. The price might seem a bit steep compared to alternatives like Harbor Freight, but given my limited knowledge, I find these electrodes to be quite satisfactory.
These electrodes fit seamlessly into my TIG torch and establish a consistent arc. I employ them on mild steel, achieving reliable welding results when properly sharpened. They offer performance similar to the electrodes I purchase from the local welding supply store, yet at a more affordable cost. The practical packaging they arrive in ensures their cleanliness and protection. I wholeheartedly endorse them.
These Blue electrodes prove effective for welding an array of materials, including aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys, titanium alloys, low-alloyed steels, and non-corroding steels. Technically, they are composed of a 2% Lanthanated tungsten alloy, incorporating oxidized lanthanum doping. Their high thermal conductivity is notable.
as a DIY enthusiast with a variety of skills, these electrodes are serving me well. While I might be more skilled at stick welding, I do strive to follow best practices. I sharpened these electrodes on a dedicated belt sander with the correct angle for the task, maintaining the grinding direction in line with the electrode's length to control arc direction. At my level of expertise, these electrodes are performing just as well as reputable brands. Highly recommended.
Package was open but every thing still there and usable.
I encountered no issues while using these rods to weld aluminum. The packaging was flawless and clean, and the robust plastic container that housed them provided excellent protection. I'm genuinely pleased with the purchase and impressed by the quality. I'll certainly be relying on these from this point onward, instead of frequenting welding supply stores where costs are significantly higher. There are online resources offering guidance on sharpening angles and grinding techniques, but even if the tip isn't needle-sharp, it can still be slightly blunted. For optimal results, I recommend referring to an online guide. The shipping was remarkably fast and I received exactly what I ordered.
