Architectural Mailboxes Centennial Post Mount Mailbox, Rubbed Bronze, XL

This Architectural Mailbox works well will hold two shoe boxes hopefully mailman won't throw packages on ground, so lazy cannot deliver.

Granted we haven't had this very long, so I can't speak to the longevity, but based on first impressions this is a great mailbox. It's a great size and built very sturdily. I love that small packages can easily fit inside, along with other mail, so boxes aren't left out in the open. None of the pieces on the outside are plastic, which is a giant plus. Pretty easy to install on our existing post with no additional mounting brackets needed.

Had this shipped to me and received it today. I needed a new mailbox and wanted a larger one. I had noticed a poster in the post office recently and they were recommending this particular one since it was large enough to hold small boxes that would otherwise have to left sitting outside or not delivered at all. It is quite large but hopefully it will not look too out of place once I have it mounted on a post. It definitely looks attractive, well made and heavy duty. On a side note, I ordered this yesterday afternoon and shipping was free. I was very surprised to see it sitting on my front porch today when I got home. It was shipped overnight! Excellent service, not sure if they will do that every time.

mailbox is great but does not include bolts they weren't mentioned on the description so o should have expected it

If you get lots of packages or mail , have a long driveway, a mean dog or don't pick up your mail from the mailbox very often and could use more room in your mailbox this is an excellent choice! The USPS calls this the next generation mailbox and you won't be sorry you ordered one, especially if you fit one of the descriptions above. Talk to your mail carrier about how high and how far from the road to install it and this should last you a long time as it is built very sturdy.

It is the coolest mailbox in the whole town, let alone street. I suspect I will be hearing from neighbors who are envious... The volume is massive. It's elegant simplity at its finest. I will put a simple stencil of the numbers of my address in silver and it will be put on Pinterest. Bravo, hayneedle!

It's huge. Hopefully the postal man will put parcels in box now instead of ground by mailbox. I'm just concerned about finish and whether is rust resistant. Thought it would be made Of tougher material. Nothing in box with product

HUGE! Very well made and nicely finished. Wanted a different color than black so had to scuff up with some steelwool and primered to make sure the paint would stick. Hope the mailman appreciates not having to bring the packages up to the house.

Mailman/woman complimented mailbox! Same design flaw as others: door opens and provides platform for mail going in or out. This feature allows for staging items that may be too heavy, thereby causing joints to bend/break. Modified by cutting notch where door supported, so door falls below unit. Works fine.

Hayneedle got this right out to me. It seems pretty nice, except the door could fit a lot better. I was able to tweak it by gently bending it, and it now is much better. Overall, good product for the money, but I'd pay more to have it perfect to begin with.
