Architectural Mailboxes Stanley Galvanized Steel, Extra Large, Post-Mount Mailbox in Black

I was looking for a large mailbox that would hold the mail if I was away for a while, and would hold packages. This mailbox was close to half the price of others I looked at, and I like the traditional "farm mailbox" style that I remember from when I was a kid. If anything, I would have preferred it to be bare galvanized steel, but in black, it matches the others in my neighborhood (though they are puny in comparison!).

this is the perfect size mailbox if you're looking for an upgrade. as someone who works for the post office I can tell you that your carrier very much appreciates when you have mailboxes this size, it allows them to more efficiently deliver your mail when they are able to put your letters magazines and packages into the mailbox instead of having to come to your front door. this mailbox is a fantastic size and it is great quality. I bought this one for my parents for Christmas but the last one I bought I have had up for 6 years and shows absolutely zero signs of wear and tear. I definitely recommend this mailbox for anyone who was looking for an upgrade.

These mailboxes are really built well. I went the large because I get a lot of small packages and boxes . And with my standard mailbox my mail carrier would tape, tie, and rubber band my packages to the top of my mailbox. But the new large one is the perfect size! Everything fits inside . I am very pleased!

Fabulous! Worst problem we have is the mail person shoving too much into it and making it too hard to get back out.

Arrived on time quality is good, perfect size. I have not put it up yet but will be shortly. The mailbox is exactly as described.

It is exactly as adverized; an extra-large metal mailbox. The only reason for not giving the full five-star review is that it comes with ZERO mounting hardware. That wasn't a problem for someone like me who has boxes of nuts, bolts, nails, and screws I've gathered over the years. For anyone else... this means an extra trip to the hardware store (or order some panhandle screws, flat washers, and compression washers for four (4) holes) in addition to this mailbox).

Has a ding front bottom door and box. Not bad, door functions as it should. You can see the small dent though.

Easy to install, all hardware included. The "latch" on top is weak and will wear out over time. Not a long-term mailbox. Latch needs redesigned. 2nd one of these I've purchased and it will develop the same issue of the lid failing to stay closed due to poor latch design (unable to see in the photos that it's missing a sufficient lip to latch on to).

This would have been the perfect xl box if it wasn't all dented! Definitely wasn't happy when we pulled it out of the box and both sides were dented, one worse then the other! Wasted time having to bring it back for a return and of course none left in store. Had to buy the large one but at least it wasn't all dented up. Really wish people would stop throwing boxes, so there would be much less returns! Stuffs not cheap and people order online to save time but no time saved if you have to do returns.

Recommend opening and checking the box upon delivery, the outer box had no damaged so I assumed it was good to go %26 wrapped without opening however when the gift recipient opened their gift the actual mailbox was caved in on one side. Rather embarrassing
