Architectural Mailboxes Stanley Galvanized Steel, Extra Large, Post-Mount Mailbox in Black

Nice big heavy duty USPS mailbox. i used a 4x4 treated post and 2 60lb bags of ready mix concrete to set the post, then i had a free pvc realtor sign that slid perfectly over the 4x4 post and i used a piece of scrap 1x8 plank to mount the mailbox to the pvc realtor sign and the overall mailbox plus concrete and 4x4 cost was $65 total. A bargin for a heavy duty maibox that should provide years of service. My Mail lady said "Awesome" as it helps her not have to get out and walk to the door with 90% of the packages. Win/Win!

I did see a review on the fact that it fit her toddler. But didn't really think about that except that it would hold a lot. When it came in a box I was blown away by the size. It will fit large packages and now my mail person won't be cramming in my packages.

I'm a mail carrier so I know how much mail carriers love huge boxes! Such a great price for a big box. Turned out perfect!

We love this box also have a mail letter tray inside so you just pull it out without reaching all the way inside. We made our own but sell on Etsy.

Made of durable metal. I like that is should be rain resistant. Using it for storing garden tools on potting table.

the mailbox clasp to hold it closed isnot tight enough. it frequently comes open. the length dimension was not given in the description, and it is longer than anticipated. it is truly a big box

Even though the item was packed in its original manufacturer's box and additionally packaged in a Walmart box, it was damaged. The front left corner was bent over the hinge and it would not open and close correctly.

Not Walmart's fault, NOT as advertised. Product Details: "With an interior space measuring 14.8” H x 11.5” W x 23.5” D, your parcels will stay safe" Not that size, see attached photo. Tried calling mfg's support line (Gibralter %26 Architectural Mailboxes) hoping for exchange with right size. They never answer, just endless 'how important my call is,' then 'leave a message.' They don't care. Returned to Walmart for refund. I already have a large mailbox this size. A common shipping box size Walmart and Amazon use is slightly too large and the mail carrier just jams them into the mailbox so thought a slightly larger mailbox might solve that. Stanley/Gibralter/Architectural Mailboxes just wasted my time and Walmart's money.
