It has a large interior space for mail and packages. It's very sleek looking. I would have preferred a black one but the dark brown color is very nice as well, and I can't complain since it was free. I can't speak to how well it will hold up in New York winters but it seems strong and well built. It has a strong magnet closure. The flag for outgoing mail is discreet which I like more than the blatant red. One con is that it doesn't open from the back. Overall, though, I'm very happy with it.

My husband was able to change out our old white, dingy looking mail box, and put this one on our existing post, in less then 30 minutes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Northpointe Post Mount Mailbox is gigantic! I definitely did not expect it to be so big. It has a beautiful brown color to it with a grey flag. It's made of typical mailbox material and the door is magnetized and heavy. Unfortunately, it didn't come with any kind of nails or anything to help with installation. Otherwise, it's a decent mailbox with lots of room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I do like this mailbox, it's large, and will hold several packages. Not large boxes, but typical smaller ones are fine. It's not incredibly heavy, but seems sturdy. The metal seems good quality. I just don't like that it has a magnet closure. I worry the magnet will fail and the lid will flop open. I feel like there needed to be either a catch or different closure. I love the pull handle though, easy to get in and makes it easy for the mail carrier too. Otherwise, it's beautiful and I can't wait to install it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the mailbox and underestimated how big it was going to be. Usually I thought mailboxes in my area were the normal sized, but I was wrong. Those in my neighborhood have been medium sized. This mailbox is large, and can fit many small packages. Mail carriers would like this since it has ample space for them to put in mail. I expected it to be a black color but turned out to be a dark brown. It came with a magnetic latch to open and close the opening. It weighs quite a bit so a strong support stand is needed. It did come slightly clipped on the handle but nothing too bad. And the inside back of the mailbox was not super smooth but because it's so large it's not really an issue. It has a smooth outer finish. It's good quality, but it's best for homes that have enough space for it. The length is almost 3/4 an arm length, so best for large areas.
