The AC is a lot more quiet than expected. We usually keep it on cool and the fan speed on Auto overnight and the noise is comparable to our standing electric fan. Our bedroom is right around 250sqft with a high ceiling and this AC can cool it to a comfortable level in no time at all, even during the hottest days. We use the app to turn it on about 30 minutes before bed and it's always perfect by the time we go in. I couldn't easily find this info about the unit, so here is something to note: the power cable is about 5ft long. If you need to use an extension cord, based on the wattage, a 14 gauge appliance extension cord rated up to 15 amps should work fine and is easy to find at a place like Home Depot.
Love this Arctic King air conditioner. The word Arctic fits this brand. Its easy to install and cuts off periodically to save energy. I see a lot of reviews on here where people are complaining that there ac cuts off by itself. Thats what Energy Star certified acs do. Its the difference between a 500 and 150 electric bill for the same usage.
Light enough to lift, easy to install, works well. Setting up the app was a little tricky but it's a great feature to be ale to turn it on an hour or 2 before I get home and the room is perfect. I love it well worth the $$
I think the air conditioning is great. I love the black color. It has a little noise when it running but it's bearable. It seem to cool off the bedroom pretty well. But the real test won't be until summer. There was one problem I had. It rained yesterday and the water was everywhere. Not sure why that happened. Maybe I didn't installed it right. The remote is pretty cheap. The back kept coming off. I had to taped it up. The air conditioning is also wifi accessible. I don't need that. Once I figure out why all the water came in. I will give 4 1/2 stars. Iol.....
this AC is great. Efficient and quiet. Love having a remote BUt...i am a older person with glasses. I cant read the manual well. Yes, tiny print. The remote I can see ok but I went up to change the settings on the AC and struggled. A white AC should have DARK black print. The manual should not have light grey writing on white paper.
Cane with a sizable dent in the left side, despite the packaging being perfect. Works well at cooling the remote works well and is intuitive. The smart connectivity app is garbage.
I live in an Old Mobil Home.. What ever Insulation Used to be in the Exterior Walls Has Greatly Deteriorated.. The Livingroom and Kitchen Are Open .. Approximately; 15 X 28 ft.. I wanted tp purchase a 10 or 12,000 BTU A/C Unit.. Unfortunately I had to settle for an 8,000 BTU unit.. I Forgot to say I live in the Houston TX, area.. Feel like Outdoor Temps. are over 100 deg. during the day, and in the 80's at night.. To My Surprise, After Installing and Turning this Unit on.. Within 1 hr The temp in the Living room was 16 deg. Cooler and in the Kitchen 10deg. Since being Installed It has maintained Temps of the Upper 70's in that big area during the Day and in the Lower 70's at night.. Again this is a 30 yr old single wide Mobile Home, Exterior in Tin, And a Tin Roof.. Very Little Insulation.. Before I Installed This Unit, The Average Interior Temp in the Day was in the Upper 80s At night Low 80s.. I've went into Detail about my Location and Living Situation to Indicate the Real World Situation This Unit Has had to Overcome and Maintain.. It is A Quiet Unit as well... I cant tell How long it well Last,, But These days if you get a Couple Years of good Service from a Window A/C Unit,, You doing good.. More than that,, Your doing Really Good !! This is an Honest Testimony Meant to Express My Experience.. Nothing More... God Bless!!
This would be a nice air conditioner for a larger main living area, but runs too loud for a smaller bedroom where I have it. When it's running, it drowns out the sound of the TV , which has to then be turned up and down based upon when it is on and switches off . This is also a concern, because it can drown out noises that you would want to hear in the other parts of the house that you need to hear. I do enjoy the ability to program and monitor it remotely from my cell phone.
Cannot connect to WiFi I tried 2 different apps the unit blows more air out of left side then right. the instructions suck for how to adjust louver .when you scan QR code each app got different info. . I tried manually putting code info when it would search I would get a message the terminal doesn't exist 3020 see photo I dread having to uninstall then return this thing .. I tried emailing company from website and got message that quota exceeded .. the website you can't find any info about this ac either . Very disappointed I bought because of wifi btu's and remote and all failed .. tried to upload photo won't upload... ;(
Needed a 5000 btu but the 8000 btu was good price and figured more cooling power for small 10x16 insulated building. I figured wrong... weak fan speeds and runs non stop with only dropping temp down maybe one or two degrees. I don't believe 8000 btu is correct rating on this ac. Doesn't cool as good as my old 5000 btu ac.
