This air-conditioner may be small but the cooling power is large. Works great and will freeze you out. I would highly recommend this unit to friends and family.
WORKS GREAT 12,000 WOULD OF BEEN OVER THE TOP JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR A MOBILE HOME LIVING ROOM /KITCHEN.
Easy install, works great
Working out great had bought 5000 btu wasn't enough ordered online got it quick thanks again
works great, cools better than my 10k btu GE unit
A/C seems to work very well. It has the features that I was looking for. When the desired temperature is reached, the whole unit will shut off, saving EXTRA money in energy costs. Unlike some units where the compressor drops out and the fan just keeps running and running and running. Also a bonus feature is the timer that can be used to Start the unit and stop the unit at certain times of day. Very handy. Construction is very good, unlike some units that consist mainly of styrofoam. Well, I suppose I would sound like a robot response if I didn't find at least one thing I DIDN'T care for, and that would be the 24 hour, military time. ONLY, no 12 hr. option. Overall, a very good unit for the money, I think.
This AC was purchased during the recent flood in Houston, TX. Our AC unit got knocked out from high water. We did a little research and picked up this AC unit for a temporary fix. It put out some amazing and much needed coolness and really helped to alleviate much of the dampness and humidity in the room. We got some much needed sleep! The only thing I noticed was that it was a bit noisy but to us it sounded like comfort in our extremely distressful situation. I just thought I'd point that out if someone was looking for an extremely quiet unit in normal conditions. This little unit was a blessing!
I don't know what we would have done. Our a/c broke and we couldn't get it fixed right away. With this you can't even tell it's not a big outdoor unit.
Works well in 11x14 room, but is loud. It does not keep up when we open to an adjointing slightly smaller room. The exterior portion which sits on the outside of the window has open grids on top, as well as the sides. Our prior units had grids on sides, but solid top surfaces. I can already see debris, i.e., leaves, twigs, etc. on the interior. We have a 1200 BTU on our 1st floor cooling a space 27x29 and that does a great job of cooling. But, again, the same open top. Also, the drain hole does not sit at the lowest portion of the unit, so water does not drain out completely. This design Concerns me with premature rusting & aging of the units.
Unit cools well...but sounds like a jet engine when running. Also thermostat in not very accurate. If your want a temp of say 75 you will need to set thermostat in 60's. For the price I guess one can't expect more..
