Install was straight forward with good visual instructions and connections labeled. They look good on the truck and were exactly what I had in mind when searching for a drop down board. . . similar style to the standard boards I replaced. Quality product!
Real truck coustmer service sucks and because of this I will never buy nothing From real truck again, tryed calling real truck because there was a problem With my order , right off the bat recording Said there was a 4 1/2 hr waite to speak With a coustmer service rep. This is un satisfactory . they have lost my bussness.
very unique. I'm 4ft 10 and on the shrinking side of 70 did not want to sell my tundra. my brother installed the running boards. didn't take long. not the first one he installed
Installation is not for the armchair mechanic, but the finished product is awesome. Time will tell on quality and longevity, but for now they seem pretty solid. Very happy with my new setup.
Received the boxes and were initially missing parts, called and requested parts, there was a delay due to inventory and other issues, but once received the steps were easy enough To install and work great, they look great on the trick. Thanks to Martin for working with me to get me the missing parts I needed.
My Canyon AT4X definitely looks good with these steps, as well as offering function for my kids and wife to enter and exit the truck easily. I also love the deactivation feature for off-roading with spotters and opening the door without deploying the steps if needed. I don't think these steps can take much of a hit, but if I need that protection, I'll reinstall my factory rocksliders.
Easy installation, videos on youtube were a real help, i have a warranty claim in now as the driver side is super quiet but the passenger side sounds like a rock grinder. Very annoying and i am worried about long service life
I was very excited to get these mounted to my truck. The construction of these is great. Very strong, Look great. It is nice to have two steps to enter my truck as my wife is not a tall person. Unfortunately, after a couple of months of use, we started to have some problems with the function of the boards. First, the drivers side lower step seemed to stick while retracting and would not fully close. Then, the same step intermittently did not fully engage/lock in the open position and was "free swinging". The dealer that I had install worked with Aries and replaced the drivers side step. Great! Then the replacement started again with not locking open and the LED light started strobing. Then the passenger side started not locking open. Dealer and Aries replaced both sides of the step and the LED light. After a couple of weeks, both sides started not locking open. Dealer and Aries replaced the controlers. Again with the not locking open. Aries said that I was the only person with this persistent problem. I do not buy that! Of the how many thousands of set of these sold, how can I be the only one?! Especially after multiple replacements? I am now working with my Dealer to remove these steps and replace them with AMP brand steps. As I live and park on a hill, I need to know the steps will work correctly. On one occasion I stepped out and the step had not engaged and I wrenched my back exiting my truck. I am very disappointed. The structure of the steps is great, and they look awesome! Having two steps is what I wanted, but I now have spent 10 hours of my time, including taking unpaid time off from work to continue to receive an inferior product. The Aries rep is not providing answers or a satisfactory solution. I am done.
I have had my truck into the dealer more than I have had it since I ordered these. They work for a bit and then quit. I'm giving it 2 stars because customer service has been very helpful in trying to get the to work. Now I have one side down, one that won't go down, no lights, no motor sounds. Everything has been replaced more than once at this point. As much as I would like to have a set of electronic steps, because my husband is disabled now, I am going to have to figure out something else. I suggest if you live in snow/damp country like we do, don't get them. It seems to be the only thing that we can figure out is making them break down.
I ordered the boards on a late Sunday afternoon. Early Monday I called to cancel the order based on reviews. RealTruck said they had already shipped. Wow what service right. I told them I'll just send them right back. The package came two shipments days apart. ??? Thought they were already shipped. Delivered damaged.. So they what me to repackage them, get a RMA number and after inspection maybe they'll refund my money. It's easier just to make the money. I wouldn't buy a stick of gum from RealTruck. Can't be trusted.
