Arlo 720P HD Security Camera System VMS3130 - 1 Wire-Free Battery Camera with Indoor/Outdoor, Night Vision, Motion Detection

I bought this camera to expand my 4-camera system which I purchased on Black Friday 2015. What I didn't realize was this is not just a camera, but also a router and associated cables, power adapter, etc. I didn't need that...I guess I have a spare now. That being said, the 1 camera system was cheaper then a single camera at the time. Anyway, it was easy to sync the new camera with my existing system and now we have better coverage. The Arlo system works very well. I use the rechargeable Li batteries. The original batteries lasted about 8-9 months, and now on rechargeables. They aren't as long lasting-but are working fine. If you buy the Arlo system, consider installing cameras where you can get to them easily for replacing batteries. But they should last several months.

I bought this one to go with the other 3 Arlo cameras that I already have. I couldn't beat the Black Friday price and this extra one will be nice to "move around" inside or outside as I want. These are great cameras and so is the telephone app (at least it is for the IPhone which is what I use). Look in anytime you want, get notified when one of the cameras go off, turn them on or off when you want - just a great set of cameras and truly wire free. Depending on how many times they go off in a day the batteries seem to last about 6 months on mine. They probably each go off about 8 times a day with the dog jumping around inside and the birds flying around outside. If you are looking for a nice set the Arlo is the way to go.

First of all phone support helps you setttt it up in minutes. This camera is simply awesome!!! I set it up in my bedroom because I was having some trouble and no more trouble!!! I have live feed on my iPhone and iPad. Every time someone walks within the camera view I get a notification. Even when I'm gone I get a notification if my cat gets on my bed. I just bring my camera live feed up and see what it is. It records and you can look back at it anytime. The only downside is that it comes with mounting screws but there's nowhere on the camera to mount it so I just sit it on my dresser. I guess anyone could take it but I would have them on my feed!! You can add cameras to other rooms on the same system and even outside!!! To me it's a lifesaver.

This security system is perfect for my needs. It does come with 1 camera and the base that connects to your modem through and Ethernet cable. Really easy to set up. I used the app and the instructions that comes in the box to install. I purchased the magnetic mount as well and that was easy to install as well. I am paying not monthly fee I am recieving Alerts through email and my Arlo app. This is great. I highly recommend for anyone wanting some surveillance without having to dish out monthly fees to security company's that charge monthly and make you agree to a contract usually more than 1 year. The people at Netgear, Thank you! My family and I are much obliged.

Camera is made well for outdoor weather. Pictures are clear and sharp, even in stored in the library for future reference. Nice camera for the price.

camera provides excellent video quality are easy to setup and very portable. Battery life seems very good, have had some up for 3 months and battery still shows 88%. Video stored on line for 7 days and easy to download those clips you want to keep. Reason for 4 star it would be nice to have a zoom feature and even audio though that would cause shorter battery life. Over all very satisfied with these cameras and would recommend

Just had this hooked for a couple of weeks. Initially I wanted to set it up to view our front porch, as we have recently been victimized by a doorbell ringer. I quickly found that the motion detector does not work through a window, where I put it temporarily while determining a permanent spot outside. We had to send away for an "outdoor" mount. The video is very clear. In other reviews we noted that the updated software has received some complaints. Sometimes when trying to make adjustments to the camera, sensitivity or recording time, for instance, the software will say it is "busy". Also, there seems to be maybe a second of delay in the start of the video after motion detection. Hoping another software update will be forthcoming. We will probably be buying another camera or two.

The camera has a great picture, Night vision works great. The battery only last a month for $10,00 for 2 battery you need 4 for camera so it is $20.00 a month to run. Other then that great camera

Does not always pick up motion as expected, thus does not send out notification of motion ... Still trying to figure out adjustments ...

Twice today--not just once but 2 times--there was extensive activity in the area that the Arlo cam is surveying, but the video captured only the last fraction of a second at the end of it! There was no image of the people involved!!! I was infuriated to find that no image was captured of either event when the activity lasted for at least a full minute before the cam began recording activity! This is NOT acceptable! This is not what a security cam is for.
