Affordable and clear video. Wireless easy set up. I set up first and synced before placing cameras on mounts. My only complaint is the lag time for viewing live video. Takes a minute or so. Yes its not that long but when someone is at your door it is about contacting them.before they walk away. Thats it..love my set up.
Very easy setup, I am able to view three sides of my property with good clarity. Battery life is good. These have been installed over a month without a recharge. I would buy again.
The Arlo Pro 3 system is easy to set up.The cameras are charged via a unique cable which uses magnets. The kit came with everything required to set up four cameras and record to a central base station/router. It also comes with 3 months free Arlo cloud storage trial which is necessary in order to monitor the system when you are away from your home wi-fi. The quality of the video is excellent. I would recommend this system!
i will give it five stars for video quality especially the color night vision. Batteries don't last nearly as long as listed, so if outdoor use is your needs. It would get an overall score of 5 stars but connectivity goes out more than it should and makes the cameras useless.
This is definitely an upgrade over our previous Blink system. The clarity of the picture, in broad daylight, shade, and at night is excellent. The only knock is the claimed 3-6 month battery life. We had to charge one of the batteries after three week's use, and one other is due for recharge after five weeks. The solar panel works great, and that camera has 100 percent battery after several weeks. We ordered two more solar panels so I won't have to keep climbing a ladder to recharge the batteries. At $80 each, it was an extra expense I didn't expect to incur when we bought the system.
Excellent field of view amd clarity. Love how portable and easy it is. Only down size is in our house the batteries only last a day or 2 before o have to change them.
I really like these cameras. The picture is really clear. I am thinking about purchasing two more solar panels so I don't have to worry about charging as often. I was a little surprised that the battery seems to drain a little faster than expected. However, I think that's probably because where/how I have the cameras positioned, they pick up a decent amount of street traffic and my neighbors (they mow my lawn and we have an apron between our properties that's captured on camera too). My only "negative" is that I wish that there was a way for the cameras to 1. recognize when it's just a car driving by and cancel the recording and 2. recognize specific people/vehicles :) I get multiple clips from the various cameras when I'm leaving for work and coming home. But if those are by biggest concerns, I'd say that's pretty darn good.
This set works fine, as long as you don't mind paying a monthly subscription fee. The only alternative is to use the USB port for local storage. This is more complicated than it appears, and requires establishing a VPN network to safely access the stores videos remotely. Otherwise you can only access the stored video when you are within the same WiFi network. I returned this system and purchased an earlier model which provides the free 7 day cloud storage.
Cameras are good, when they're working. I like the video, but they seem to go offline for several hours each day. It's especially frustrating when it requires the removal of the battery from the camera to reset it; I got the cameras to watch my house while I'm away so that kind of reset isn't possible. The camera location has excellent WiFi service where it's located, so that's not the issue. I live on a busy street, so the camera covering my front door uses about 25% battery a day (that's making a 10-15 second video every minute of the day on average) while the angle covering my driveway seeing hardly any traffic is still at 85% battery after a week (that's recording about 15 total clips a day each day for a week). My biggest complaint is the cameras going offline for about 4-5 hours a day each day I've had them with no real pattern as to when or how long they're offline.
New Arlo 3 system has more glitches than I can list. One camera had to be shut down to good, after 100 video clips on an empty field in a couple of hours. My master App keeps showing all 3 cameras as not connected, when my friend app at the same location shows they all work. I can not make changes to the cameras from the app as it flickers from working to not connected like a strobe light.
