ARM & HAMMER Cat Litter Deodorizer Double Duty, 30 oz

I have a male cat who could not be neutered the regular way because of a physical anomaly. This means he can still spray, and he's been quite a problem. I had planned to just bring him in for the winter a couple years ago, but he has chronic health issues and needs medication so can't be out with the other TNR cats anymore. This has been the best solution for the rugs and the litter box as well. It makes living with this little guy much more pleasant.

We have 3 cats & 3 big litter boxes (about to be 4 boxes) and the 40 pound box fills all 3 and if you properly maintain your litter boxes on a daily basis, it will last a month or more!!! Bought this product because my normal litter was out of stock and have decided I really like it. Clumps well keeps odors down and my cats have no problem using it. Have been using Arm and Hammer Double Duty for many years for our multi cat home in 3 of 5 litter boxes 4 of the cats prefer the Double Duty boxes , 1 prefers traditional clay. I prefer Double Duty as it clumps quite well, has a pleasant scent that the cats do not find offensive.

I have tried so many different litter options. But, this is the one I have used exclusively for at least a few years. We have 4 kitties and go through a lot of litter and the Double Duty stuff works so well. I am receiving points toward rewards in the Kitty Krew Community for writing this review. I really love this litter but after a while. You can smell the cat pee while cleaning the litter box. I add more but the pee gets stronger and stronger. But over all I give it a 3 cause it does clump and some what seal. Not ever litter is perfect but I wish this one was. The pee doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box

I am trying this litter out. It doesn't always clump well. The box is almost impossible to open. Takes 5 minutes with scissors trying to pry it open. By the time it's open the top of it is completely destroyed! Please fix the box. Will not buy again.

Hello, I thought I was going crazy but then I went to Reddit and saw this has been happening for over a year to other folks. (See pics of different color litters from diff batches) https://www.reddit.com/r/CatAdvice/comments/1f7n409/arm_hammer_litter_changed/ Your kitty litter products over the last year have gone from very good quality to absolute crap. They no longer control odors, ESPECIALLY urine, which has become eye watering while cleaning out the boxes lately. They don't clump well at all, the color and texture out of the box has changed from a lighter grey to a much darker grey color (which probably means that they either contain less baking soda now, or are not dried as thoroughly? which could explain BOTH issues consumers are having. I'm unsure of the ingredients and makeup of litter, but the product has really gone down-hill especially in the last couple boxes for me. Others have seemingly had this problem for much longer already. The most recent boxes I have purchased, from multiple vendors have all exhibited the same "new" look and lack of functionality. I switched to your product over covid time when prices of other litters went up, yours stayed reasonable and it was almost as good, but I and many other users are seemingly very disappointed in your products now and will most likely be switching away. Please look into this issue or I fear you'll be losing a lot more customers in the future.

I've been using this litter for about a year now and recently the formula must've changed. The litter is significantly darker and gravelly. It barely masks any odor and I clean the litter box every morning and night, doing a full litter change weekly. I'm very disappointed, it used to be my favorite litter.

I've been buying this litter for years since it's the only one my cat likes, but the quality control has severely gone downhill or they changed the formula. It's darker and has bigger rougher grains in the last couple boxes and my cat hates it. She'll go anywhere but her litter box now and it's been a huge waste of money since I'll never know which box has the litter she likes and which ones will have the litter she hates and the packaging is exactly the same.
