Armarkat 74-in real wood Cat Tree & Condo Scratching Post Tower, Beige

I've purchased this model now THREE times! I left one behind in a divorce for the 2 kitties he kept. I purchased another at that time, for my two... and after losing my last remaining 19 yr old kitty, I disassembled it. Six months later I adopted two tiny kittens and donated the 10 year old tree to the rescue (it was still in excellent condition but wanted something smaller for my new boys). Although I feel very good about donating to those who foster kitties, I later wished I had kept it, as I had not realized how much the production of cat trees declined over the years. Long story short, over the past four years I've gone through quite a few trees of other brands/models that were total junk, literally wasting over $1,000 dollars and my time. Nowadays, things are poorly designed and made using VERY cheap materials (thin rippable coverings, cardboard or thin particle board full of chemicals), have a lack quality control and are very wobbly (no matter the height). After such monetary losses and safety risks to my boys, I remembered this tree and began searching high and low for it--thrilled to have found it again and prayed Armarkat retained it's quality. They did!!! I cannot express my happiness and relief to have this tree again!! This has a solid wood (appropriately sized) base, with boxes made of wood (not just thin easily ripped material with no support), covered in soft easily cleaned carpet. All shelves and beds are also solid wood covered in soft carpet. All posts are sisal top to bottom and are wider than most--the sisal easily replaced if/when needed (which wasn't necessary on my former purchases). Hardware is substantial and easily fits into well drilled holes where everything lines up. Everything is clearly labeled, comes with instructions and assembly would have gone faster, but management (kitties) had to investigate and climb on everything as I put it together in under an hour. What I would like to mention, is the fact that as my previous kitties aged, I was able to reduce the height of this tree and reconfigure it completely for their safety and the tree still remained safe and solid. That is something that's next to impossible on most other trees, either due to their poor designs or materials that simply don't last. Bottom line: I'm immensely thrilled that my boys will get many years of fun and safe use on this solid and stable Armarkat tree. I have a 13lb and 10lb cat, both fit/not fat, that have no problem navigating/fitting into or on boxes, perches and platforms. They play hard and the stability of this tree has been unmatched by others, even ones costing much more. Thanks to Walmart for having it delivered to my door in one piece, along with updates throughout the order. I'm beyond thrilled with my purchase...three times over!!

Was purchased for my daughter who has 2 grown cats. She said it was easy to put together, and that she liked the looks and size of it. Also it is sturdy.

This is a well made sturdy cat condo. It is attractive and my fur babies love it. We had been using one my daughter left for us .We have used it for 7 years and it wasn't new when we got it. We used it with numerous rescue cats ,up to 5 at a time. It held up well until the sisal started to break down and they clawed into the posts. I figured close to ten years use was good and started shopping for a new one. I choose Armarkat because that was the brand of the one I had and was fortunate enough to find they still made the same style.

This is the same model that we bought at least 10 years ago. It is very well made and we just thought we would get a new one and put the old one in a different room. Replace a couple of posts and it will look new. This model has plenty of room for large cats. The base is made with wood not pressed wood. Armarkat makes a quality product.

My cat loves it!! She uses it all the time I'm very pleased with my product. I highly recommend it!

My kitties LOVE this cat tree and condo! They sleep on it every day and love chasing each other around on it! We lost or misplaced the tool needed to tighten it, but I keep my fingers crossed that I will find it sooner or later!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] House is very sturdy and attractive looking. Easy to assemble(I did it and about 75 minutes). My cat sleeps in in every night.

I already have this one which is now older and very worn out and i found the exact same one again which made me happy because my like this one and it holds up very well(had to rewrap the posts a few times but expect that) i have 6 cats and they climb/jump and swing all over this and like i said holds up well.

It's cool but I don't like that the bolts at the top of the stairs are not flush with the landing. I'm worried my cats will get hurt if the jump up and land on the metal.

The screws that attach the two ramps are far too long and will protrude through the carpet if I had installed them. I will have to use at least two washers at each location to prevent this. Also two spots of what appears to be dried glue stuck on the carpet which cannot be removed. Other than that, it’s a well made unit and is my second purchase from Armarkat.
