This is a solid piece of metal work. I haven't stress tested it to any extent but the welding of the handle, and overall material, feel solid. I'd just note three relatively minor things - first, that the insignia could have been better integrated with the surface and is thus peeling in two areas. I am considering how to secure it before it peels any further. Second, the shield needed a thorough and proper cleaning. Upon touching it my hands had dark grease, and there seem to be oil smudges that I am having difficulty removing. Third, I very much like the placement of the handle and arm strap, but the strap is like a belt that doesn't get tight enough. Unless you have forearms like tree trunks, it will wield in a wobbly fashion. So I will need to drill new holes to rectify this. Despite these minor complaints, it feels like a well built and reasonably weighted piece of equipment.
