Over the course of the pandemic, I redid all the floors of my house with these. Admittedly, I have no clue what I am doing. This is the first time I ever put down peel and stick tiles. They are very forgiving and my floors look great! Every time I ordered more, they matched perfectly and the large size 18x18 really helped to cut down the time it took to lay these. They cut wonderfully with just a score line through the top made with an x-acto blade. If I had any more floors, I would order more.
I read other reviews that said these tiles were likely to pop up due to weak adhesive, so I applied a little Liquid Nails to the back of each. I've used them to cover a bathroom floor, applied directly to OSB subflooring. I've also used them for vertical applications prone to high heat (kitchen backsplash) and high humidity (shower surround). I've been impressed with every outcome. I'm pretty sure these are being discontinued from store sales because they're becoming increasingly difficult to find. If you do find them, buy them.
The floor tiles are absolutely beautiful but I need three more boxes and they are not available. Now my living is half finished so that means if I can't get the three boxes that I need I will have to re-do my floor all over again with another different tiles, which in the end is going to cost me more money. ( help Wal-Mart!!! Please order more of these tiles!)
Great floor tile. It was the shipping and delivery that ruined. They tossed those boxes around that I had 2 boxes with every corner busted.
its actually thicker then a thought lol good quality . easy installation and perfect for a bedroom .
The flooring is absolutely beautiful!! The problem is that 1/2 of 1 box of tile the corners are all broken!! Thankfully we had a lot of trimming to do so we were able to still use them but I'd recommend if you need tile get it from the store so you can be sure its not broken!
These tiles are beautiful and I really like the 18 inch size. I got them in Silver Lining. The adhesive is REALLY strong so make few mistakes. I had a hard time peeling a tile up to reposition it...I ended up leaving the tile and working around the imperfection...I got creative so thank goodness it isn't noticeably. I love Armstrong tiles and have them elsewhere my home. The only cons to these are 1) the box weighs a ton! Thank goodness I didn't need multiple boxes. 2) they break very easily...be careful or the tile will crack on the corners or edges. 3) when delivered the box was beat up and completely opened...I was horrified to see if any were missing or broken. I had 1 or 2 that arrived chipped but I used them in areas where I needed to cut tile. Otherwise, these look great. I may buy more for another area in my home...deciding...
My takeaway of these Armstrong tiles is that they are being discontinued???, therefore the discounted prices that I like. I just did two rooms of another color that I loved, but those, I picked them up from the store that is not getting any more in that I can tell 2-3 months later. As other reviews state, damaged boxes seems to be a given for shipped boxes. The local Lowes has some in the warehouse (on sale), but seemed unable to get them out to buy, because the stock is so limited. So I wonder if the haphazard difficulty of buying these tiles is just that no one cares to get them out to the customer properly because they are discontinued. I ordered silver lining color and can not see any silver in my tiles at any light angle. On one side of the box states "silver lining" color. On the opposite side of the box says " stone light" color, on every box. Is Armstrong going to do any better with new products that replace these? And what is the back story for discontinuing this product so haphazardly. I wanted to return and get the right color, (I like the tiles) but the online return menu options in Walmart returns page, do not allow me to show damaged or wrong product rec'd. All the options sound like my fault, like " do not want", and will not give me the option to return and replace with proper color and replace the damaged box. Armstrong could have at least minimized so much damage with some corner protectors inside the box. Between Armstrong and Walmart and Lowes.....phbbbt.
The color is amazing they are a lot thicker than I thought. Unfortunately I couldnt do my project because they were sent in the original box and well most didnt Survive the shipping. Broken corners.
I order 27 boxes of this tile and the order came in two shipments. Although these 8 boxes were labeled “silver lining” they were not the same color tile as the other 19 boxes in the other shipment. Returned the 8 boxes and reordered them. Hopefully they will be the correct color.
