This bread is so delicious! It's my favorite kind of bread on the planet! Great for breakfasts - toast, french toast, etc., lunch sandwiches. Try it toasted with some butter and your favorite jam/jelly/preserves and a cup of tea or coffee! So good!
I love this bread! I try to buy it every week when it’s available but just so you know the last three times I bought it. The bread was stale the crust hard so basically we couldn’t even finish eating it. We had to throw it away. Hopefully this will be as good as it used to be.
This bread is always fresh and delicious with lots of flavor the only problem I have is some packages have the bread inside wrapped in a separate plastic sealed bag and other of the same don’t I’m not sure what that is all about but I do prefer the bread with the extra layer of plastic wrap sealed on the loaf this loaf doesn’t have that otherwise it’s great
This bread is very tasty. It has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. What I like is in to a heart slice are the health benefits of the whole grains, protein and fiber. Great toasted with a little butter.
I love the flavor and the softness of the slices. It also makes great toast and absorbs as much butter as you want to spread on it. Some of the grains baked on top of the loaf are kind of tough to chew, but that's not a deterrent.
I almost went to my standby because this costs a bit more. However, I'm glad I tried it. Taste and texture are great. The bread is a nice size. Hope shrinkflation won't touch it. Currently 24 ounces.
Been eating this bread for years. They must have changed something in the recipe because it turns moldy in less than a week. Used to stay fresh for several weeks.
Been buying this bread for years. Bought 1 loaf 2 weeks ago (Mar 2026). Everything was good and always loved the plastic-wrapped inner film to keep bread fresh (in addition to the outer wrapper). I always thought that was a sign of quality. NO More! Bought this loaf beginning of Apr 2026 and now it is ONLY the exterior plastic bag, with NO inner plastic wrap to keep the expensive bread fresher longer. Still the same cost however. How much $ did they save by deleting the inner bag which kept the bread fresher longer? Hopefully they didn't increase preservatives to save a few cents on the inner wrapper! Very disappointed!! I will look at other brands now!
This is the second time I have received the bread without the inner cellophane wrapper, and the freshness is definitely degraded. It is dryer at its sell-by date and does not stay fresh as long as before. So disappointed with the packaging change.
My mother likes this bread but every week for months now I go to look for a loaf they are burnt. They look nothing like the picture. They are dry and she shares it with the darn squirrels even if I find something I think is somewhat decent in color. I’m done buying bread for the wildlife.
