I'm giving this rating because the product we purchased was easy to find and had accurate pictures, just like the product we ordered and imagined. It was convenient to do it all without leaving our home. The delivery was fast, easy, and provided updates along the way. Great service!
I like that it is big and the rack lift is on the side I really liked my Oster but I dropped the lid and it can't hold the heat after dropping it when baking cakes and this on has a defrost which I can't wait to try I have not tried it because I purchase after the holidays the pan comes out so clean up will be easy
I have used this roaster almost daily. I originally bought it so I could make large batch spaghetti sauce, chili, convenience meals for canning etc but have found that it's great for cooking anything you'd cook in the oven WITHOUT heating your house up during the Southern California hot summers. I plan to buy a couple more so I have them for the holidays and future canning projects as well.
This roaster is huge and I love it :) I bought it to make homemade ketchup. I didn't want to have my stove running for the 3 hrs to reduce the sauce. I put the tomato juice in and set it to 250 and left it overnight. In the morning it was perfect. I plan on using this for Turkey at Thanksgiving and freeing up my oven and so much more. The only down side is you can't use scrubbing pads on it. You need to use something made for non stick pans or let the monster soak.
My mom's oven hasn't worked in years, can't afford a new one. I live baking, she lives rotisserie and baking. This cooker is heaven sent and convenient. preheating is quick, cleaning is a synch and quick. We use our cooker for just about everything. myst have.
I bought this as a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! It has multiple fuctions, baking, roasting, slow cooker,etc.. And it is a huge capacity appliance! For comparison she sent a picture of it on top of her washer and it covered the top of her washer! Best $55.00 I've spent in awhile, plus it's an energy saver compared to an oven!
If you make homemade stock, you need this in your life. The entire process from A-Z, can be done easily in the roaster. It eliminates the need to babysit a stock and the size is stellar. You may not use something this size very often but at this price, why not find storage room?
This roaster did a great job cooking 30 lbs of chicken for a church social. For this much meat I needed to rearrange halfway through cooking to be sure everything cooked evenly. The meat was very tender and moist and it worked perfectly for our event!
The Nesco we got was perfect size to put two hams in and they whereover 10 pounds each and how deep it was perfect too the lid was able to be closed 100% and the extra stuff for it is great. My sister used to the hams. She like the extras on it too compared to her old one.
The warranty isn't the warranty at all. if something goes wrong within a year, you have to pay postage back to the manufacturer, and include a $25 check. you might end up paying more for the repair then you paid for the item. I am returning it for that reason.
