Aroma® 6-Cup (Cooked) Rice Cooker and Food Steamer (ARC-863UB)

I gave this some time to try out before I rated. LOL - after your item is delivered they ask you to rate it EVERYTIME. That's impossible to share an honest opinion. Overall it's compact, perfect for 1 - 2 servings. I've made long grain rice and was happy with the fluffy quality and taste of rice. NOT mushy, NOT crunchy - just right. Happy that I added this to my kitchen. There's no audible chime when it's finished so I just set a timer to watch it. When it finishes cooking the rice it automatically switches to warm. It's a decent compact and easy to clean cooker. The food steamer also helps and functions well. Rice was delicious. Yes I would recommend this, especially for a single person. The results were what I hoped for.

I used this the moment I got it for some rice, maybe I put too much water or something because this is only two cups of rice. However it cooked it perfectly I set a timer and it was done in about the time I set it already popped up to warm. I'll try three cups next time but I genuinely don't see how it's going to fit

I ordered by mistake the smaller size 6cups, I received next day. So i asked for the bigger one 10cups. They send me agsin the same size 6 cups next day again. 😆 Finally i went in person to the store and got my rice cooker with the right size. Whic is an excellent electrodomestic. I have one worling and this new one is my back up. The return at the store was really easy and the money was back next day. Make sure that the customers understand that WALMART is overall doing a GREAT JOB.

This is a fantastic rice cooker the value of the item and the speed of how it cooks the rice is perfect. It can cook for a family of 3-4 or even more depending on portion size. The steam basket is also great. Whether you are a single person meal prepping and cooking small batches or feeding a family this is a perfect economical rice cooker.

one button rice cooker, I've never had one but it could not be easier to get perfect rice. I can steam veggies up top, and mix in a can of cream of anything or veggies right into my rice cooking for a one pot meal! LOVE IT!

the steamer didn't work as well as I'd hoped, but considering I managed to snag it on sale for the same price as the the cooker was alone, I'm still very happy. this is my second time buying this cooker (first one lasted about 4 years and only shorter due to a an outlet issue). 5/5 for the cooker itself, only deducted one star because the steamer attachment isn't tight enough to properly steam the top and I feel like it compromises whatever you're trying to cook in the bottom chamber.

Has a steamer hole. This may be why the rice doesn't cook perfectly despite the auto settings especially if left on warm for any length of time. I use high quality Jasmine rice.

Not great - burns rice (right after cooking, it wasn't even on the warm for a while - we used to leave our rice on warmer all day long without burning in other rice cookers) probably worse rice cooker i've ever had. very disappointed in AROMA. It's no longer quality that it was years ago. Don't wast your money - try another brand.

I read the reviews and thought the switch didn't work because the pot wasn't centered. I was wrong. The switch on this is HORRIBLE. I filled it correctly and centered the pot. Switch went down, then after 4 minutes or so it popped to warm. Couldn't get it to cook. My older model works perfectly every time . Why change what wasn't broken?

I bought this item in April 26 and on june 2 it broke like it just went bloop nothing I didn't have the box and it was used even tho I was in the return window didn't se it happening I had an extra or that was kinda damaged and thought I could use the parts from this one since it was newer all I needed was the metal parts not the wiring but because the one I had was old and corroded the wires got mixed up and couldn't setup the wires correctly to the new pieces that parts not Walmart but still I had to throw both away the first one I bought I've had for like 8 years the new one I had for one month so be very careful keep the box for a month or until your warranty expires because you might need it I would buy it again but this purchase really Was tensed because it broke by itself it just stopped working for no reason
