the overall plot was entertaining, with adventure and believable characters. best to watch multiple episodes at a time

Absolutely worth getting and viewing.
Made for TV by PBS. Completely enjoyable, with a slightly different approach from Warner Bros version with David Niven, or from the made for TV version with Pierce Brosnan. [All 3 are great] I heartily recommend all 3, but DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY ON THE DISNEY VERSION WITH JACKIE CHAN - THAT ONE IS TOTAL CRAP!

This is an excellent series revised to be relatable to a modern audience while maintaining the spirit of the book. I recommend this for fans of Tennet's Dr Who.
