These light bulbs do exactly what they say and they do it well. While they say they're for indoor use only we use them outside on our covered deck and it seems to be fine. My favorite feature is the ability to change the tone of the light. Sometimes it's nice to have a bright white light outside to see what's going on but it's even nicer that I can change it to a softer yellow while spending time out there.
I have two of these bulbs installed in my home office. I have one in a lamp and one in an overhead can light. They were very easy to set up and are also easy to control through the mobile app. I love being able to adjust the brightness and color temperature when I am on video calls to optimize the lighting. I also like being able to turn them on and off hands-free with google assistant. Would definitely recommend these to a friend.
We recently replaced our recessed lighting with these smart bulbs. I love that I can make them brighter when I need to (hello, morning!) and I also created a routine to dim them when the day (should be) is over, like a virtual commute. Can't wait to do the rest of the house!
We use these in our living room can lights overhead and I love the fact that I can control them from my phone and adjust it for movie nights! It was super easy to setup and works like a charm. We are super happy with these and will probably get more down the road!
I put these in a couple can lights in my living room. The ease of use and the ability to change the color tones is amazing! I've seen others say they had issues setting them up but I didn't experience any of that. In my opinion very easy task. Buy these…you won't be disappointed!
So the lights themselves are 5 star for sure. The app I'd give a 4 but I'm not going to ding the rating for that. The good- The lights are great. The set up and pairing was really straight forward and both lights connected to the Array app first try each. They have an adjustable temperature range from 2700-5000 and it's a very consistent color across both lights. They can also be dimmed down to 1% which is really 1% unlike others I have that say 1 but really look more like 10-15%. As for lumens (brightness) that is subjective… for me they are exactly what I want. I have them in garage carriage lights but if you want flood lights that will illuminate your backyard like it's noon, these may be be enough for you. The less good (but not bad) As I mentioned the app I'd give 4 stars and only because the "scene" function for setting up a schedule is more cumbersome than another system I use. That being said, once it's set up it's done so that doesn't knock a star of for me. Overall, great lights with automation and functionality and adjustability for a reasonable price. Can't go wrong!
I'm a photographer, and sensitive to the differences in lighting from daylight (cool) to incandescent (warm), but these bulbs let you pick whichever you prefer. That way you can dial in the color to match any other lighting in your room. You can blend the two on an infinite scale so you get any shade in between. Add to that, you get to dim them from 0 to 100%, again on a sliding scale, so if you need 23% power, you don't have to settle for fixed dimming ratios like some others. There are "scenes" available, so with a quick selection, you can set it for "reading" and with another tap, change it to "leisure", which I like for watching TV. You can even set up your own scene modes. There are also many timer and scheduling functions available, even one I've never seen before that adjusts intensities, color temperatures and timing to match your biorhythms. So many things to play with :) Now I'm off to add the lights to my Google account so they can be voice-controlled.
Creating a schedule, turning on and off, changing color temperature and brightness… what more do you need? These adjustable smart bulbs are a fantastic addition to my home. I can now add extra light to dark areas around my house and schedule the lights on and off during the day when needed.
The lights are great, you can switch between warm and cool colors. The app allows you to set the color across the warm and cool spectrum. The app also has preset modes for the lights, reading, working etc. The lights are also dimmable and can be remotely turned off and on. The only issue I had was with the setup with the app. The app requires the 2.4GHz wifi signal, I have two routers and my primary router is set up to combine the 5Ghz and the 2.4 Ghz, the app would not recognize this function. I ended up using my second router that is upstairs and is set to be 2.4GHz and 5 GHz.
I used these in my basement and while the ability to dim and change shades was nice it was a hassle to initially set them up, and the fact that they can only be dimmed through your phone and not a dimming switch was not ideal when i lost internet connection for 2 hours and couldnt turn them on.
