I have used these for 45 years and they are the perfect solution for hanging pictures, etc. because they are so easy to use and they are so strong. These I trust, the others I don't. One little pinhole to repair is all that's left. Quick spackle and it disappears.

I've been using these for years although at times they have been hard to find. At about 25 cents each, they are quick and easy solutions for hanging calendars, pictures and other items. The "hanger" part isn't very long, maybe 3/8" but it's adequate for most needs. Calendars especially work well with these, rather than the U-shaped picture hangers, although if the calendar is made of rather thin paper, the hanger may eventually rip through the holes over the course of 12 months. A little scotch-tape reinforcement works just fine. The only problem I've had with using these over the years is that occasionally the disc would break free from the nail and just wobble around, instead of providing support against the wall. So- heavy items might not work well for hanging on these.
