[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a neighbor who's 10x14 shead was picked up by a gust of wind from his back yard and relocated to his front yard, so adding two of these kits to my new 10x14 shed was a no brainer.
Well made, strong steel. Plenty of wire to use. Anchors were easy to twist in the ground. A large screwdriver or something similar helps twist it in. No problems at all.
The steel and welding is top notch. I used a 1/2" pipe to turn the augers into the ground. Lots of torque needed to turn the auger in clay, though it is humanly possible.. After digging the first 12" with a post-hole digger I started the auger. I feel my 12 x 32 mini-barn is safely secured. THanks for a great prouct.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation wss a breeze i used a socket to drive them in. also don't think they are cheap and going to pull right out, they hold like there's no tomorrow. Definitely will survive any storms or wind and would highly recommend to anyone who needs to hold anything down. Thoroughly impressed!!!
Good sturdy product and easy to install. Goes great with the shed I just installed.
The auger kit was very easy to install. Parts came complete. The day after we installed them started 3 days of high winds and the shed didn't budge an inch. We are very happy with the Anchor products.
These anchors are definitely built to anchor and they are very durable. It is hard to get them in the ground very far, but they will do the job.
We needed to anchor our shed and this was the first available kit we could find. It is simple to use and works well. Getting the cable tight was a bit tricky, but after the first tiedown was complete we had it mastered. Be sure to have a good bar to use to turn the auger once you get it started.
The anchor need to be installed close to the shed means you are limited by the length of pipe that can be used to turn then auger. I wasn't able to screw the anchor into the ground until 3 inch out of the ground as the manual suggested. One recommendation I make to the manufacturer is to weld a bit to the head so I can could drive the auger into the ground with a socket and an impact drill.
We purchased these and it took almost two weeks to get and then we got boxes all damaged and cut open and was missing three out of four of the cable bolt nut and had to go buy them still not worth the money at all..
