1117 Recently bought this Rivit tool when putting in a suspended ceiling works great even with my arthritic hand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tool to replace the rivet on my 2008 Crossfire convertible top. it was easy to use and worked well Code 1117
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great tool - wished I had it years ago! I needed this for an aluminum gate that I was installing. Screws don't stay in aluminum, so needed rivets. This tool was perfect for the job.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1117 Inexpensive, high quality tool. Easy to work with. Very happy with results produced
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this today to replace an older one I have. Easy to use, value priced nice reliable product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We managed to get it to work but it was wanting to bend.
I an unable to insert a 5/32 rivet into the product. I have the correct size nut and I have backed out the spring pressure fitting until it almost falls out but it still will not go past the internal jaws. I have even taken the spring and jaw assembly apart to ensure that it isn't messed up then oiled it and reassembled it with no luck. Smaller rivets worked fine. Currently unusable.
It worked great until the head split! So I wasn't able to finish the job....ugh And I did nothing different than the other five or six rivets, The head just split on me for no reason!
Using arrow rivets and they all break off where they are not supposed to. Either the tool is garbage or their rivets suck. Now I have to figure out how to cut them off.
I bought this riveter some time ago 'cos it looked good and I thought the rotating head was a good idea. When my father in law backed his car into my garage door I thought I had the ideal tool to replace the damaged rivets. How wrong can you be!! Having straightened out the door I began reassembly. On the first rivet the head split longitudinally in three places leaving the rivet totally unscathed. The casting quality is good but the metal used isn't. If a replacement head is available, I will replace it and keep the thing for light work - I still like the rotating head.
