I bought this box specifically for keeping my bird seed secure from squirrels and raccoons. I was so tired of these animals chewing through the plastic deck boxes, so when I looked online to find a metal deck box, this looked perfect...and it was! It was easy to put together, but takes two people. It looks great and the Pneumatic lift on the lid keeps it securely open when getting items out. It has stayed dry inside although we've had a lot of rain. I highly recommend getting this box for any of your outdoor needs.

The main purpose for this storage box was to protect my supply of bird seed and keep my feeders from being destroyed. This box was bigger than I imagined and is 100% perfect. My son in law put it together for me. The raccoons have been all over it but can't get in. I'm so happy with the quality and workmanship of this box. You won't regret buying one! I love that you can lock it as well, although so far the raccoons haven't been able to lift the lid at all. So very happy!

I looked for a long time to find just the right outdoor storage box. I wanted something that was Large, heavy weight and study to withstand the New York weather. This box has met all my needs and keeps my cushions dry and protected from the weather. Northerntool was this first place I found that had a quality product worth buying!

I purchased this deck box to store bird feed and food on my deck. The plastic deck boxes I had purchased prior, got chewed up by Raccoons and Squirrels trying to get into the container. This metal box, so far, has prevented these varmints from chewing, to get to the bird food. The box is also decorative and blends in nicely with my deck furniture. The only complaint I have is, the box is difficult to assemble with just one person. You need two people, so one can hold the sides straight, in order to insert the metal screws. Also, my box came without a set of Hex Bolts. I called the manufacturer and informed them. The initial response was from the customer service person was, "go to the hardware store and purchase a set." I told her I would probably end up doing that, since I wanted to assemble the box, that day. Although, I did ask her to send me a set, for possible future use. As of this writing, about a month after I assembled the box, I still have not received the set of bolts. Poor customer service.

It's sturdy as it's made of metal. I had zero issues with assembly and think those who did just needed to use an awl as suggested in instructions. Great price and speedy delivery. Ongoing problem with shopping online is their poor filtering system so every time looking for something there are a 1,000 hits! They could learn from other online retailers.

The Deck Box was as described however when unpacked the top had a dent in the center of the front edge. Although this did not effect the closure of the box it detracts from the overall appearance. The box does satisfy my requirements as it definitely keeps the squirrels and racoons out.

It's a good deck box. No regrets purchasing. But facts about it are misleading - there is zero wicker. The whole thing is constructed from a water proof (i hope) tin metal, bent to look like wicker. - it isn't waterproof from the bottom, so if you ate putting it anywhere Water could pool, you'll be in trouble - the floor (as I said above) is some tin metal. Not weak, but not the strongest. It'll hold patio cushions fine, don't worry about that. It is very big.

It is very difficult to assemble. Many of the screw holes don't line up making it necessary to drill new holes to be able to screw parts together. The directions are only drawings with out written directions. It takes two people to hold sides then screw the sides together. It took hours out of our Sunday afternoon until we were too tired to complete the assembly and left it to another day. Hopefully, when it is assembled, it will be waterproof and serve as a storage for the outdoor patio cushions.

The material is fine, but most of the screws' size are wrong and gave me very hard time to assembly it, espacially during the Pandemic and not easy to go outside to figure-out the right size of screws to buy it
