My hair isn't fully dry yet, so can't say about my root area. I have bad flakiness at my forehead area, and build up and itchiness at the back of my scalp. So i got this absurdly priced product. My curls look the same, and so far my head is still itchy. But my main complaint is how TERRIBLE THIS PRODUCT SMELLS. not even my nice smelling leave in covers it up. It milds down some as it dries, but it was burning my eyes as i applied it. Not sure i want to keep using it.
