Ascentials by FurHaven Moonbeam Path Cat Scratcher (32”), Wall-Mounted Corrugated Cardboard Climber

I bought this for the height. Big winner with my cats as they seem to love it. Was also easy to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats love their cat tree scratching post. It is made of good quality materials, the directions are clear and my cats are using it. All parts are very clearly marked. I think the hex screws should have a small countersink hole in the main post, but it is still easy to assemble and sturdy to put together. The scratching area is a corrugated brown cardboard which is non toxic and should last a long time, since the layers are quite compressed and glued together.

When I saw this I knew immediately this would help her and keep her off of our leather furniture and since putting this together and giving her the ability to scratch this post she loves it. I love the look and she loves to scratch on this post. It's a win win for us both!

When I was assembling it (before putting it on the wall), I didn't need any not included tools. It was easy to assemble. My cat prefers to scratch carpet, so he hasn't been giving this enough attention. However, this would be great if your cat likes to scratch cardboard.

I am not a big fan of screwing it into the wall so I have it on the floor, but the cats do scratch at it and it spins.

I laid it on the ground at first to see if my cats would take to it before mounting it. They seemed to like it better on the floor than on the wall. While I think it seems good for scratching they just haven't used it a lot so far. The price range on this product is very reasonable. Maybe over time the cats will become more interested in this.

Needless to say first attempt at installing on the wall was terrible, but the quality of the pieces does seem nice. If I can get it on the wall I'm sure my cats will like it.
