Cute, dim lamp with shelves. A little less sturdy than I'd like, but definitely durable so far.
I am here looking for living room options and seen these lamps had such bad reviews. I purchased these a couple of years ago for my bedroom and they are perfect!!! Are they plastic-yeah- but you know that before committing. I don't agree with all these 1 star ratings… as any screw it's easy to cross tread so you need to be patient when building these. It might look as if they won't fully line but they do- trust me as I bought TWO. Still love them and not planning on changing them anytime soon
pricey for plastic but not too bad to put together. took my time with some of the harder to put together items.
it is made of plastic and was very hard to put together and one of the legs was split upon opening the box.....defect in the 1 leg.... I had to return it for a different type of lamp.... the upside was the 2nd lamp was cheaper and the pieces were not plastic which was made of quality steal and wood.
Worst piece of garbage I have ever bought. Not even remotely worth the money. The overall material is ugly 1960s brown plastic. The connecting screws cross-thread if you breathe wrong, and then it is impossible to get them back out again and start over. The shade is bent. The cord is highly visible (not shown in photo) as it hangs down right from the top middle. Their solution for hiding the cord it is to ziptie it against a corner pole all the way down - because that doesn't look tacky or anything. If it were possible to disassemble and put back in the box at this point I would return it. Instead, its wasted time and money and going in the landfill.
When unpacking this, the poles were already scrapped and in bad condition. But I started assembling it because I just needed a light for my living room. When trying to assemble it, the long threaded pipe screws wouldn't even screw in all the way, nor would they even screw in completely to the base; and once you screw them into the poles, you can't get them to screw out either. 1 out of the 4 poles screwed all the way down to the base completely. This is junk.
Some of the poles wouldn't go on correctly, and the chain to turn the light on and off stopped working almost immediately.
Cheap plastic and very very wobbly. Won't even stay up without shaking in the corner of a wall
Horrible cheep plastic it wobbles can't hold any weight at all
This was given to me as a gift the poles broke as if they were made out of rotted materials. I got tired of trying to put it together because the poles kept breaking I finally threw it away. l love Mainstay products but this truly was not a good buy.
