Exactly what it said. 4 pieces with screws/nuts. Easy assembly. We'll see how it holds up after a few fires. Did well after the first one that burned for 6 hours :) Remember that the 38'" is from outside rim. I believe the interior measured about 32-33".

Sturdy, easy to assemble

We built a new fire pit. Look for a video on smokeless pits. Using this ring with pavers to build the circle in such a way to allow lower level to allow air to enter below the ring. Works Great!

Easily bolts together in four sectors to form a flanged firepit ring and set on five bricks allows air to feed the fire, Works great.

Comes in 4 pieces, it isn't a solid ring. All in all, it is a great price for a fire pit.

Works great, fits great! It's a little larger than other rings which allowed it to fit over my 36" existing galvanized fire ring. A slight deduction for being two pieces, but still a very good value.

Nice fire pit ring, easy to assemble, appears to be good quality. Word of caution: I bought this to put in my existing fire pit which already has a 38" liner that does not go to the top of the bricks. The top two layers of bricks were cracking from the heat, so I decided to purchase a 2nd liner. Problem is that I thought this 38" liner would fit over the top of the existing liner with the rim lip resting on the top of the bricks. The opening of this liner is actually 32" - the 38" is the measurement from one rim to the other. I had to make some adjustments to make this work.
