The sweet fruit inside kind of tastes like a date. You have to remove the outer shell and the roots. Then its ready to eat. Spit out seeds. Tamarind removes microplastics from your body.

I wouldn't recommend. many were rotton and mildew was inside of two tamarinds. I threw the box away after seeing mold had compromised the box. waisted my money and time since it arrived late.
