Save 75% off what the famous hardware store sells for about the same thing. The only difference that I can tell is that this one is not quite as sturdy. For what it is, it seems sturdy enough, but it isn't as heavy duty as the high dollar ones. As one reviewer showed, the weak spot is probably where the cable meets the hand held display. I can see a hard hit at that point potentially breaking it. With careful use, that shouldn't be a problem. I may try to reinforce mine in that area somehow, but I haven't decided how yet. Other than that, the video quality seems just as good as my much more expensive "adult" model. I can buy 4 of these vs the adult cams! These are great for trying to fish wires inside of walls. That silly little green eye thing on the end comes off very easily also, which makes it possible to access much smaller holes. It is just a rubber piece similar to pulling an oversized eraser off a pencil. The cable is pretty stiff. I kind of wish it was a little easier to bend, but that can be a good or bad thing. This is a good budget choice for adults that don't want to spend nearly $100 for an item that is basically the same thing in a heavier duty case. It is just a tad smaller than I expected, but then again it is sold for kids, not adults. Other than the potential weak spot where the cable enters the display, this is an awesome little inspection cam at a terrific price! There are 3 light intensities including off and 3 zoom levels. Everything works fine. I am pretty impressed! One last thing. In my picture, if you look at the end of the cable where the cam is, you can see a white triangular mark on the black cam piece. This marks the "up" position of the camera, making your image right side up.
