I bought this about 5 to 6 weeks ago because our puppy had been crying every night for 3 weeks straight. The first night she was in this crate, she slept like a baby, (and so did we). Haven't had any crying problems since. Thank you Walmart ! We got in in 3 days instead of 5 . Marvelous.
We got a dog a year ago from the pound who had clearly been kept in a crate as punishment and for long periods of times. We had tried two different kinds of crates before finding this one and he would freak out every time we tried to put them in one of them. Once in he would whine and cry until we removed him. He goes very willingly into this crate and does not complain while in it. I think it is because of the open design on it. He can see everything that is going on around him while the other crates had a claustrophobic feel. It folds down making travel a breeze. We will be purchasing a bigger version for our other dog as well.
Would have got rid of my new puppy if it werent for this Kennel that I purchased. Great tool for potti training your puppy. Very easy to clean since the bottom comes right out. I highly recommend this product for anyone that has a puppy or is looking to purchase one. Did I mention the puppy (Cubby Dude) loves it as well. He is a LAB RETREIVER 2mths old now. He sleeps through the night in there and during the day goes in by himself now. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT TRAINING TOOL
I bought this for my little Yorkie. Having the divider works perfect for him. He loves his crate and does not cry when he is put in for the evening, or during the day when I have things to do around the house.
I bought this for my Moyen Poodle and it's definitely the right size. It has a solid pan bottom which is perfect for house training. If I put a pad in he pees on it but no pad and he holds it. The thing I don't like is the latching system. It is difficult to figure out which bars the hook goes around/through and it's a problem when I'm trying to get my puppy out fast before he has an accident. I put a pillow on top just to make him feel cozy but I don't think it's necessary.
The kennel is good quality, and is a comfy sleeping place for my puppy. The locks on the front are wearing down due to use and the coating isn't very durable. The pull out base is great. We use it with a Kong Pad.
We bought this crate for our puppy. It was a very good training tool however, our dog outgrew it. Very easy to put together and take apart. However, the latches get stuck alot and our dog got out of it. We found a crate double the size with a side door and front door for only ten dollars more. It is a good crate for just starting out but not for keeping forever.
Great Product, Well Built-Easy to put together NO TOOLS needed, Plenty of Room for a Medium Dog smaller then a Cocker Spaniel, Get the X-Large for Bigger breeds. Easy to fold down for Travel.
Nice kennel, the only complaint I do have is that it rusted very quickly for the short time it was outside on the patio.
adopted a Fox terrier mix from the pound about 2 1/2 weeks ago. This little guy (scraps) hates it with a passion and has tried his best to break it into a million pieces. The bars have bent a little but have managed to hold up very well. My only problem has to do with the bottom wires under the pan. Scraps has learned to eject the pan out of the bottom and squeeze his whole body through the holes on the bottom. They need to make them as small as the rest of the cage. Guess they are not use to overly clever dogs being in the crate. I taped him when I left one day took him 30 min to figure it out! I say get it so long as your dog is not A. small enough to get out the holes or B. smart enough to figure out he can get out of the holes!
