I bought this to use on those pesky flies that always seem to show up every time you want to sit outside. Not only does it work well but it's lots of fun too. Everyone wants to use it! We've been using it all evening and the batteries are still going strong. You'll want more than one so you don't have to share!
I am allergic to those bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, and red wasps. I like to have one when I am outside as I feel I at least have a try at getting them before they sting me. I would recommend this to all people like myself, and any who would prefer to fry their prey. A great Idea.
I think it's cool although all I've killed are gnats or fruit flies...when I got my Zapper the weather turned cold so I really did not get to use it much but I sure will anytime soon....
This works really well, especially on mosquitoes! They fixed the battery compartment so it is easier to access and everyone I hand this to enjoys using it. Really makes it nice during the dreaded monsoon season as I have a dog that runs in and out of the house all day. Highly recommended.
Well made, easy to replace bulbs when needed, kills bugs by the dozen with a satisfying Zap and frequently a flash as they burn.
Works great. Easy to use.
works great. light weight, easy to use.
This is a great bug zapper! It's fun, effective, and affordable.
After I had ordered this and it was coming I seen on other sites/businesses what appeared to be the exact same unit but their name didn't include the word Upgraded. So I received my shipment and checked everything over on the box and inside the box and all paperwork inside and also I looked over the whole bug zapper but nothing s read anything about the word Upgraded. Before I started checking I got curious and because of there only being 5 reviews on the Walmart app I went to Google and searched for this exact name unit and I ended up on Amazon. I wanted to know what Upgraded means, maybe refurbished or yet maybe improved but what's improved or was it just another sales pitch to sell more of these units. Anyway I read this time the 1 star reviews too get a better bigger picture of why they rated it a one. It wasn't good and I recommend everyone read some reviews about their reasons for their ratings. I thus contacted the seller and they got back to me as Walmart sent them the email first then the seller sent me one and I responded back about why and what's so special about the word Upgraded. I've yet to hear back but maybe their overwhelmed with sales of the Upgraded unit. Now too be completely honest I took the unit out of the box and plugged it in and used it from 3 p.m. to approximately 7:30p.m., 4 1/2 hours estimated. At this point I've assumed this unit is not Upgraded or improved but the same unit as all the rest out there being sold for a better price than I paid because me being me, I took the word Upgraded as better than the other units not stating the word Upgraded. So anyway that thing for broad daylight did a number on tje micron size bugs that recently showed up and were they ever bothersome! Zoom in on the attached results of the death toll in short period and when it connects to one it sounds like a small caliber gun making contact or someone just touched a hot wire in a fuse box. Anyway I was and still am impressed but don't run 24 hours per day. I planning on running it during day light and off at dark but for some strange reason those nasty flying little bugs and even the flies seem to like the dark hours more than the daylight hours. Bottom line I'm glad I have it as it works better than any one of ever used, just wish I hadn't paid more for it than the other named product as it appears to have no Upgraded to it other than Upgraded price.
As others have noted, the handle and battery cover construction on this zapper is a bit flimsy and the plastic is not as sturdy as other models. HOWEVER, the smaller mesh design makes this superior in zapping mosquitoes and small flies, since they cannot fly between the wires. Larger flies and insects do get knocked down by the shock, but may not die. I had a more expensive model that had the same problem: larger insects take more than one zap to finish off...or when stunned you can smash or capture them for disposal. You can't beat the value of this device compared to the price paid. We purchased two and are happy with both after a few weeks.
