Assorted Specialty Hand-Sewing Needles (7 Piece)

I bought these needles to hand sew a homemade heating pad for my 90 year old mother. I bought her two commercial microwavable heating pads but she blew them both up. A little too long in the microwave and those commercial heating pads swell and pop. What a mess! So I did a little research. I bought a five pound bag of rice, a set of eight 100% cotton 12" x 12" facecloths, 100% cotton thread, and this needle set. I sewed two sides of 3 facecloths closed into 6" wide, 6" long pockets. I filled each of the the pockets with rice then sewed the last side shut. I cut a piece of a 100% cotton towel into an exterior pocket, like a small pillow case, then sewed it closed to hold all three rice filled pouches and VOILAH! a better than commercial heating pad that can't explode and should last for decades, hopefully. Mom loves it! She uses it as a bed warmer just before bedtime to take the chill off her bed in the wintertime.

These are the needles I use for hand sewing. I like them they are strong, they have good size, sturdiness, I don’t use the ones with the curve often but when I do they hold up well, the case is not something I continue using, but it is still good for when I receive them. I need big needles for hand sewing because of my arthritis, hand sewing is hard enough as it is. But trust me and don’t get the tiny needles, especially if you are just starting out. Long time sewers don’t even use those. We get the big needles like this and make it easy on our selves. Strangely the big needles make precision easier, threading the needles, getting in more stitches at once, big needles are where it’s at. If you’re just starting out or have been sewing for a while these are a good go to.

I used the needles to stitch upholstery in a truck. The fabric is very thick and I had to use needle nose pliers to get the needle through it. The needle held up where others might have broken.

This is a great purchase to have good quality different sizes of sewing needles. I love this for a thicker thread. I’m a hand sewer so these are great for me.

They are easy to use and thread. I purchased a travel kit, and the needles were ridiculous. With these I was able to repair atear in my couch cushion. I've recommended these to family and they too like these.

BUT, I LOVE THE SEMI, -CIRCLE! Great for upholstery mending %26 other difficult to reach %26. sew items/fabrics. I use on car seats where seems break open. Great needle set. I recommend.

The eye on the smallest needle was fragile, broke when package was being opened, so now it’s used for getting slivers out of fingers. but overall worth buying the package. The rest still function as sewing needles

These needles were what I needed to sew two seams of my couch. We have dogs, and they are couch snugglers. I don't have funding for a new couch quite yet, and this one is still quite cozy. Worked well, and gets the job done.

I would like to leave a review. I've been trying to order this for the last two months now on a weekly basis. The site says available for pick up or delivery and I've tried both but I for some reason can never get one delivered or picked up they always wanna ship it if it's not available in the store fix the website.

I bought these needles because needed the big one to sew something with a little thicker material. I used it for about 5 min and when I tried to push it through the fabric the needle broke and stabbed me and I started bleeding. I wouldn't consider them heavy duty at all.
