Astercook 15-Piece Kitchen Knife Set, Knives Block Set with Built-in Sharpener, Healthy Anti-Rust Coating & German Stainless Steel Knife Set, Dishwasher Safe Black

I purchased these about six months ago, they are amazing knives. It comes with a small sharpener so you are able to sharpen the blades yourself. The knives are very durable, and well crafted they would be difficult to break. Suggest not using a scratch pad on the blade, it will take color off the blade. However the color does not flake off or come off any other manner that I found so they are safe.

The completely black set looks even better in real life than in the images online. The range of knives will cover pretty much all needs in most everyday uses and (for us) they're comfortable to hold - no biting into the palm of your hand if using under pressure. The only flaw we found is one of the large holes in the wooden block was not completely machined out so none of the knives could fit in there. The hole was all the way through but not uniformly done so even the smallest of the larger knives would only go into it about 1/4 of the blade length. Relatively easy to solve (no specialty tools required). We used a single hacksaw blade (which fitted through the gap that went the whole way through) and then just gently sawed it back %26 forward to remove the un-machined wood. If you need to do this - do it slowly so you do not catch the top of the wooden block and angle the blade away from the top (at the top) and hard against the bottom (at the bottom).

All knives when you first get them and they’ve never been used or sharp, but after two or three times you should not have to be sharpening them back to what they were when you first got them. I understand you want to keep them sharp, but when their brains spanking new, you should be able to use them more than twice on a tomato without having to sharpen the knife again. And that’s exactly what we had to do because there’s not was no longer sharp and it was smashing the tomato. No, it’s not a very good quality to me. But that’s just my opinion.

It’s nice that is OK, but I was looking for something a little more durable and a little more sturdy. If I were younger, I would probably buy it and be happy with it. But I’m older and I’ve struggled with not so great knife that’s over the years and I just wanted a real quality set

very sharp, but if cutting hard things like squash, it will cut at a curve because it is so thin... I have a different knife that is higher quality that will cut straight through, so I was not impressed.. but they are sharp, so if you want to cut something small or easy to cut, they work ok.

I bought one knife set as a gift for my son and one for me as I thought they were very high-quality because they were supposed to be marked down from $199.99 but I have found that many stores sell them at approximately the same supposed “discounted” price. I think this is false advertisement that they ever sold for around $200. This is very misleading. I do not remember if these are supposed to be stainless steel but if they are they rust easily. Not a high-quality product at all.

I checked prices for this knife set in numerous places. You advertised the regular price to be $199.00 on sale for $30 some dollars. The regular price for this item is 30 dollars, less than $40.00. I trusted Walmart but obviously I should not have! I am going to return item. I won’t trust your prices in the future! 😡

Unsafe! Knife pieces could chip off in food!! I thought it was great at first. Later I saw that one of the blades was chipped in two different places. I'm not sure how it got chipped because I barely used that particular knife - which is why I guess I never noticed before. Now, it's too late to return and I'm afraid to use because it may chip off in my food. I'm a very unhappy customer.

I just bought this knife set 3 months ago and it's already rusting on the blade. The whole set looks cheap and won't last more than a year for sure- I am kicking myself for buying this.... it's not something I'll have for very long (and I don't believe in disposable housewares!)

cheapest feel ever. supposedly i got it on sale from near or over $200 and paid somewhere around $50 to 70. would think full tang, as no mention of it. when using you feel just how gentle youll need to be as blade will break off of handle. the feel alone $5.99 should be a more proper value.
