Welllll- I bought this set for my brother, because it was so cheap and he was getting by with a used knife set he found at a thrift store. In no uncertain terms, he preferred the used set. The blades on these are very thin, the handle plasticy and he wasn't even sure if the blade went into the handle at all. Yes, there is a sharpener, and it will sharpen, but there's not enough metal there to matter for too long.
They are, however, cheap. If you don't do much cooking and just need knives for cutting tomatoes and celery occasionally, or perhaps trimming the fat off chicken once or twice a month you can probably get by with them, at least for a year or maybe two, Don't even think f putting them in the dishwasher and sharpen after each use. In short, (or in long), you get what you pay for,
