easy set-up and use

My son is a 7th grade student now attending class remotely. He needs particular requirements to be met in a laptop. He needs access to many platforms (Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Meet, Zoom, and more). In addition, said platforms do not need to just be accessible, but accessible quickly and efficiently because he needs to focus on multiple subjects simultaneously. There are of course many other things you may be looking for in a computer, but this chromebook works perfectly for what my child needs it to do. And the price is good for current situation.

Solid and capable, it has the features and functions necessary to tackle most basic writing and browsing tasks, and is extensible in its productivity capabilities. A robust battery enables use away from the charger for hours. That it has the ability to install and use Android apps, is a plus. Add a mouse, and you've got a well-rounded experience with apps that can do what web apps cannot. For advanced users, there's also the option of activating Linux within ChromeOS, further enabling development and program accessibility to operate as native executables/apps alongside your Chrome and Android apps. It's not a necessity, but it does open up further versatility. All in all, it's a solid device and comes well recommended.

I couldn't be happier about my decision to purchase this ASUS Chromebook! It was an upgrade from my last Chromebook and it is perfect! It has everything I need, plenty of storage/space for my stuff, is fast and super easy to use and is an incredible value for the quality product you get! I started using Chromebooks a few years ago and I don't think I'll ever buy anything else! 5 stars - AGAIN!

I'm a huge fan of Chromebooks, mostly because I don't need all the bells and whistles of a Windows laptop. I also love how everything is at my fingertips, whether I'm on my Chromebook, phone, or away from home and using another computer. I've only had the Asus for a week but so far, I'm very satisfied with it. I like the size and weight as well as the slim feel.

Was looking for laptop that would help me work simulatenously but this laptop lags if multiple tabs are open so for me, had to exchange and get something faster. I just think after using for few times, this laptop is useful for basic needs like internet browsing, really light work such as word, excel and other light software so for those students, this might be good. It is light and easy to work with while offline but little bit confusing if you are not familiar with Chromebook. Asus is still great brand cause it doesn't overheat but would suggest using windows based OS instead

I'm not happy with my ASUS Chromebook. The display is dim and washed out and also when I open the lid sometimes it won't start automatically. Sometimes I have to push the start button in the top right corner to make it come on. Last night I had to open the lid two times to get the Chromebook to start up and then I had to push the start button and still it almost didn't come one. I hate this Chromebook! But I'm stuck with it now. I should have gotten a Lenovo instead, but now I'm stuck with this one.

I bought this unit as a gift for my granddaughters for school. They only used it a couple of times. It quit working and I tried all the online tricks before contacting Asus. When I got ahold of them they told me that the warranty had expired BEFORE I bought the unit. I worked with them for a couple of weeks before giving up as I could never talk to anyone. So I have a broken unit with two months left on the warranty and no service. Do NOT BUY this!
